The biggest thank you to the team at The English House for making our special day extra special. From service, to the food, to the ambience - we went from loving you guys from our first visit, to absolutely adoration The dimsum starters were amazing and Sunday roast as usual was ?. I also want to say special thanks for putting together the Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings for us despite it being a Wednesday, as well as the champagne and cakes. We will be back in a heartbeat!

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - Great food, Nice ambience & Fantastic service. Loved the Beef Wellington the most! Great service by Tiffany. She noticed that we were here for celebration and offered us a dessert to close off our meal!

The English House is without a doubt the best restaurant for quality service and food! We've recent celebrated my engagement with my family and had a terrific time. The staff are truly attentive, kind and so welcoming especially Alberto and Fareed (who kept our spirits high throughout)! The food and dessert we received was so good and the portion was generous too. I must say the Ethan Mess and Apply crumble was the top in our list for desserts. Extremely clean and classy place. Worth the money spent. Will definitely return!

Tried the Sunday roast here and I had high expectations after looking through the reviews. It was decent but unfortunately it wasn't as fantastic as I expected it to be. Portion is decent for Sunday roast. However the Yorkshire pudding was quite dry and a little too dense on the inside. With the sauce it is more tasty but the texture is still not great. The potatoes was also a little disappointing - it wasn't well cooked through and it was still a bit raw on the inside. The beef was decent, done perfectly at medium rare, however nothing to really rave about especially for this price point. The pork belly though was good - good amounts of fats/meat and skin was roasted extra crispy. Ambience is also very unique, interesting decorations and you can spend some time admiring them as if they are museum pieces!

Beautiful decor, I feel like I am dining at a museum. Sizable portions, left the restaurant full and happy. Customer service was also amazing and our server even told us the rich history of some of the restaurant decor. Pricing of the food reflects the high quality ingredients and fine techniques used to prepare the food, the sides also gave us generous portions for the price of $10 and their mashed potato gave my father nostalgia of the one his grandfather used to cook for him when he was younger. Highly recommended

After considering several restaurants for Beef Wellington, I decided on The English House after reading all the rave reviews and I have to say that it far surpassed my expectations! The decor of The English House is a unique take on the traditional β€œkopitiam” feel. Beef Wellington was divine! The beef is perfectly medium rare and incredibly tender. The pastry was crisp, buttery and had a slight char that complemented the beef. It comes with a portion of traditional gravy that was moreish and tasty. Definitely worth the price tag! Sides are $10 each and very good as well! However, the highlight of our evening was certainly the staff. They were all very observant, friendly and personable. They really went the extra mile to make our celebration memorable. We left with our tummies and hearts full. Will definitely be back!

You start by being wowed by the green leafy entrance through some grand doors. Walking in you'd be amazed by decor fit for a museum! Already a great experience before you sit down. Staff are very attentive and helpful. We had the Easter menu and shared a Japanese Scotch Egg, Roast Leg of Lamb and Fish and Chips. Roast lamb was the tenderest lamb I've eaten! Was a bit over beef wellingtons after trying Gordon's restaurant but definitely will try the Yum Cha and Variety of Wellingtons when I return to Singapore. A must visit and stay when the hotel opens up upstairs.

The beef was delicious beyond description, and had my taste buds was pleading with me to take another bite. The pastry and beef was cooked to a divine perfection. The fish was crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and the sauces complemented very well. The interior ambience was aesthetically pleasing and had a nice traditional feel. It was as though I was dining in a different timeline. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Recommended to those wanting to experience the best wellington in Singapore Dishes ordered: Fillet of Aberdeen Black Angus Beer Battered Wild Cod
