The Hairster Saloon - 414 Yishun Ring Rd

On 30th Jan, I book an appointment (Yishun outlet) for hair colour, highlight, cut & keratin treatment service through Whatsapp. The hairstylist who replied to my messages was Lydia. She's very prompt in replying my messages and friendly too. I'm a hijabis and I told Lydia (hairstylist) that I need a private room. And she said "Yes, we do have!". I'm so glad that they have a small room specially for hijab people. So I really recommend this salon especially to those girls/women wearing hijab, if you're looking for a pivate room for hijab, this is the place :)❤

Hairstylist Susan was friendly and accommodating. No hard sales and she always ensure we get the style we wanted . When she cuts she was really focus and does her job well.

Walked in to see a bunch of guys sitting around, thought they were customers but they got up and went outside to talk instead after I sat down. Felt like I intruded on their break time that they were rushing to complete the job and seemed unhappy, roughly handling the equipments and sweeping the floor, making a lot of noise, as if it your mom forced you to. Usually, foil is used for the bleach to set but instead, he used the plastic sheet that was wrapped around my neck? And while sectioning my hair, he was combing and pulling very hard on it and used a normal red rubber band so you can imagine how painful the taking out process was. Even the washing hair was rough, and the aircon was right above the hair washing station so it was quite cold. The good thing is the colour came out nice for the underlight but when they said hidden colour, they really meant hidden colour, you cannot see it at all unless i part my hair to show purposely or if it's clipped up. It was 1/8 of the hair dyed while usually it'll be maybe 1/3 to 1/2 if you googled for underlights images. I didn't do cut or treatment either so just for that tiny amount of hair, it was more than $100. Only halfway during the process, he tried to strike up a conversation and seemed a bit less unhappy and sounded nicer. Neighbourhood salon but read some good reviews so I thought I might give it a try but probably the worst experience I've had.

Dyed my hair to the colour i want . Did bleach one time, hairdresses told me the consequences of bleaching once . I agreed and THE COLOUR TURNS OUT NICER AND NOT JUST I LIKE IT BUT LOVE IT ❤️❤️❤️ will recommend coming here and do your hair to what u wanted . Thank youuu Susan for making my day and making jokes while waiting for my hair to be doneee . Love love ❤️?

Wash/Blow + Cut + Hair Colouring + Treatment using Fave Voucher. I didn't catch his name but he has pink hair. I'm not sure if he's having a bad day or what, he seemed like he didn't want to be there. Barely communicates what he is going to do and products he was going to use. Had to ask three times just for the brand of hair dye. Asked for a simple straight blunt cut but he went ahead and layer. Fine, but his technique is so rough my hair is still uneven even after requesting for a minor trim. Would not recommend him.

Hair color dropped after dyeing and all my towels and pillow cases got contaminated. Went back to the shop and they said it is normal. Told me go every salon will be the same. Offered to give me two pieces of used towels. Don’t even have the sincerity of giving new ones. Rejected the ‘good will’ gesture. First and last time visiting.
