Utter garbage. The woman who runs this joint is a phoney person. Avoid at all costs.

Be careful of this place. They’ve used their own personal friends to increase their ratings from a 2 star review ti 4.3. I’ve heard nothing but lousy things from people with a bad attitude. Particularly the owner.

I started my Balanced Body Pilates Instructor Training at The Movement Academy in 2018, after having taken Reformer classes at The Moving Body for a few years. What an eye-opening experience! It struck me then that most people know more about their favourite celebrities/cars/brands than their own bodies and how to move properly... At that time I was working full-time and would take Fridays off to do my Mat 1, Mat 2, Reformer 1 and Reformer 2 courses which took place from Fri - Sun. The Master Instructors were knowledgeable and patient while my course mates were always friendly and eager to learn. Although it was quite 'intense' to do a course over the weekend and jump back into work on Monday, I always found it invigorating and it really recharged me. I felt that being able to teach Pilates was such a handy skill - which not only boosted my own exercise, but I also started practice teaching my parents-in-law and my hourly Pilates sessions with them was their only structured form of exercise. It developed to them taking Private Pilates twice a week now - and being stronger than ever without the same leg pains they used to have when walking! But that's another story for another time. I finally got my Mat and Reformer Pilates certification last year in 2021 after moving into a full-time job in the Pilates industry. I love teaching both group classes and private sessions, and seeing my clients experience a transformative relationship with their body is super rewarding. I'm now working on my Apparatus certification and also taking enriching courses like Rehabilitative Pilates at The Movement Academy. The Movement Academy is my go-to for upping my Pilates instructor and movement game... now thinking about taking a Gyrotonic course... or maybe CoreAlign... Am I addicted to learning about movement? Maybe! But at least it's a healthy addiction :P
