Katong laksa has got to be the go-to type of laksa in my opinion! Loved that the broth was very creamy and rich. The noodles were cut so that you can eat everything with just a spoon! One small gribe I have is with the portion size. Bought the large bowl but was still hungry at the end of it. Nevertheless, the quality is impeccable. The laksa is not spicy at all so do add more Sambal if you would like a kick of spiciness!

Laksa is of a decent portion. I opt for a takeaway. The price is $5.50 for the original one. Taste-wise is still the same as the ones at Queensway. The crowd size for a Sunday morning was relatively low during the time of my visit. But the shop did not have many seats anyways. It is recommended to take away as the carpark lots are very limited as well.

Didn't know there is a outlet here. Had their curry chicken at queensways shopping centre before and it was very nice. This outlet is spacious and less people. Came at 630pm but is empty. Contactless payment avaliable. About 10 lot of free carpark avaliable in front of the small lane. Make me feel like I am in Malaysia having laksa. I wouldn't say it is wheelchair friendly, because there is smalls steps infront of the shop. With some carrying, it is still accessible. Tables at restaurant are not fixed hence it is possible for someone who is wheelchair bound to dine at their table.

I had previously (slightly more than a year back)dined-in at this outlet before and had a rather good impression of the laksa, so I made my way there to get takeaway for my son as he was craving for laksa. From what I vaguely remember and looking at some online reviews, I wanted to add a crayfish to the laksa this time, but the staff who took the order gave me a funny look and said I was at the wrong place and they never had crayfish on their menu. I was puzzled so I changed it to add more prawns (the other option I saw in the review), and again was told there wasn't this option. I was like ...there were photos accompanying those reviews, so the reviews were all for the wrong place ??? But nevermind, I found that I can add more fishcake or cockles though (which were also options in those photos). Back home, the takeaway was a disappointment. The laksa gravy given, though separately packed was very little and when poured into the noodles, it filled slightly more than half of the container (refer picture and note that the container used wasn't a huge one). I think you probably get more (quantity) dining in than taking away. In spite of that, the laksa gravy is tasty and flavourful, but on the dilute side. Also added an otah on the side. Wanted to add a chicken chop, but was told that it can't be sold separately unless I buy it with rice. Laksa was ok, but attitude of staff taking orders could be improved, knowing more of how your menu has changed or evolved and explaining politely to customers is the way to go rather than giving them a funny look like this is the wrong Katong laksa shop you have come to, it's probably another one you are talking about type of look.

It is served without chopsticks (meant to be) as the noodles are chopped to pieces. Broth was creamy but lacked spiciness. Otah fits the meal. Portion was a little small for the price. Worth a try.

Regular laksa $5 Shiok to have this during a rainy day like this However, IMO I don’t really like the curry chicken (it served with 3 mid wings and 1 potato), I don’t really like how the taste of the curry. It feel like a mild Indian curry to me. Other than that, I would definitely visit again for the laksa

I’m giving 3/5 stars not because the food is not yummy but rather the quantity that leaves much to be desired. I bought 4 packets of chicken cutlet rice take away today and I think the chicken pieces in all the packets are too few to be worth the value of $5.50 for each. I am not asking for generous amount of helping, but I had much better value for money meals when the previous lady in charge was managing this store (now she is in Queensway branch)

A different and distinct flavor of laksa. A bowl costs only $5. I love the soup base.
