The Positive Academy - 20 Waringin Park

I was looking high and low for a reliable trainer + daycare who is experienced, skilled and advocates positive/reward-based dog training and methods backed by scientific studies. The Positive Academy/ Wee Boon exceeds my expectations. Reliable - I depend on TPA for advices and trust TPA on managing my dog and get results without force, intimidation or abusive manner. Professional - Performance and execution are definitely the specialized, true and professional Dog Trainer. Good quality & Good value - There are trainers that mass market their service and gather many reviews and gain popularity, showcase their credentials and portfolio (e.g. attain AVS accredited dog trainer), but they still might not possess the skill set and scientific knowledge of a dog trainer like Wee Boon. Responsive - Always engaging and responsive, which is also a very exclusive offering. I have engaged TPA for almost 2 years now and I am continuously learning a lot of handling skills from Wee Boon to understand and manage my dog as we grow.

We started obedience training at The Positive Academy when Toffee was just 6 months old. Fast-forward 4 years later, and Toffee still attends weekly sessions because there's no trainer we trust more. Wee Boon and team are such passionate dog trainers and have given so much advice to me. We have learnt so much about being dog owners and how to understand and read Toffee better. Wee Boon is extremely professional when handling the all the dogs and goes the extra mile to spend one-on-one time with all the dogs individually. He updates owners about our dog's progress (also gives advice to us and how we should practice at home haha) and is ever willing to answer our many questions. TPA is very much recommended to anyone who has a dog!

Even though Mia only went to The Positive Academy since I got her, but 3 years on, I've never looked back or elsewhere for wanting to find another trainer or daycare centre. Wee Boon is engaging and often provides explanation to help owners like myself to better understand and appreciate the behavior of my dog and how to encourage the desired behavior with a positive approach. Mia and I have also recently attended the weekend obedience classes which he organized and that has really deepened my understanding and the efforts I need to put in (not just my dog and his trainer) to get the best results from the way my dog and I interact. Super educational, super engaging and super fun!

Signed up for Obedience class with Wee Boon at The Positive Academy. The class is well-structured with clear objectives, activities and practice for each session. I appreciate Wee Boon's clarity and advice on how to engage Hunter (our 6mo Brittany Spaniel) positively and training him for desired behaviours in different contexts. I learnt alot and grew in confidence from lesson 1 to 6. The class is just the right beginning of our journey with Hunter that we were looking for. Thank you!

Weeboon has very very very effective methods of teaching doggos using only food (yes food nothing else) . He actually understands what the dog needs which is very crucial to solving any issues that your dog has. He has helped us with multiple things like teaching our pup to be more relaxed, how to be less sensitive to sounds and more. Weeboon would ask for updates from you regarding your training with your pup in a timely manner. In my opinion, I get a sense of sincerity and also knowing that he cares about our progess

Noodles has just completed the 6 weeks obedience class with the positive academy. This has helped us greatly as dog parents with our day to day interaction with her. She is rather aloof and takes her time to warm up to other dogs. She also tends to go into a panic attack when left alone. We are able to see the improvement in her over the weeks and she has also started to socialize more with selected dogs ahah. ( she’s picky ☺️) She goes to the daycare at the school once a week and absolutely adores wee boon and never fails to have a smashing time there! Wee Boon shares the live streaming of the class and sends us videos and photos from her outdoor activities. We r so glad that Noodles is having so much fun at the school ! I brought my 5 month old puppy Neo (a cavalier spaniel) to this 6 week class. It really helped teach the basics of dog training and emphasized the right ways to train your dog in a positive and consistent manner. Initially Neo was super scared of other dogs but by the end he was more socialized, better behaved and more confident overall. Wee Boon runs a flexible programme where he also teaches you how to solve specific problems related to your dog behavior and how to apply basic cues for various practical real life scenarios

My 1yo toy sized poodle completed his 6 weeks session ; initial few sessions were challenging for myself (1st time pet owner) and my doggo to understand hooman+pet ‘s engagement, grasping the timing and PATIENCE.4th session onwards the effort evidently pays off , Toby was calmer and able to act on commands and my “click” timing improved too LOL! If you are an advocate of pawsitivity, building rapport with your pet and also for them to enjoy their training time - This is the place to go to! A reliable and pawfessional trainer who is also very willing to provide offline advices when we encountered difficult scenarios handling our doggos!
