If there is one advice to new dog owners when searching for a dog trainer, puppy obedience classes, daycare and dog boarding, we'd say to reach out to Ethan Loke (Urban K9) in a heartbeat. Ethan is equipped with a strong understanding of dog psychology which is a key aspect to approaching behavioral challenges as no one size/technique fits all. Ethan provided valuable guidance on training us to walk our Golden properly and how we needed to adjust our state of mind when training her. We also send our Golden to Urban K9's daycare and noticed marked improvement in the way she plays and interact with other dogs. We found out Ethan rewards the right play behavior and correct unwanted ones at daycare. Doggy daycare is not just a having a space with dogs playing whole day long! A overstimulated dog is not a happy dog. A calm dog is. Our GR also stay-cayed with Ethan recently and it seems like she had own party too! She did not hesitate one bit to leave with Ethan and was very happy to see us. Huge thanks to Ethan and Serene for looking after her whilst we partied. Have recommended many fellow dog owners to Urban K9 and will continue to do so; also because he doesn't outsource what he does. Ethan spends pretty much his waking hours training and managing the dogs himself thus he may not have his phone with him all the time. Thanks for doing what you do and saving our sanity.

A pretty disappointing consultation experience, where I received various training tips here and there but without any clear instructions on when to apply them (e.g., keep the leash loose; restrain her by pulling on her harness/collar and forcing her rump down). My dog, a rescue with trauma issues, reacted even worse when I tried these training tips on her while in the presence of other dogs. When I asked for clarification, I was told that a demo would be necessary (i.e., pay more money).

Ethan is a dedicated and passionate dog behaviourist! I’ve sent my dog: Mufasa for daycare services at other facilities however Urban K9 is by far the best in every regard. 1) Location is extremely central and convenient 2) It’s a really big space (both outdoors and indoors) which can accommodate all types and sizes of dogs without concern. 3) You can trust that Ethan will be able to handle any kind of dog, and that there won’t be any issues since he is a trainer after all. (Won the Caesar Millan Asia Recruit S1 btw) 4) The structure of Urban K9 is something I truly believe is unique and you can’t find elsewhere. There is no need for any “trials” as many other daycare centres would have, as Play time and the energy of the dogs will be managed with structure at all times. 5) Love the facility! Recently he has added a treadmill for additional fun & exercise! 6) Ethan also provides transport and various package options. My partner and I also engaged Ethan to help train/rehabilitate our Singapore special as she has behavioural issues. The process of educating us on dog psychology, behaviour and exposing to us the why’s and the how’s have definitely been a pleasant and also enriching experience for us- Helping to teach us to be better pack leaders to our dogs! Would highly recommend this place & Ethan for your daycare or training needs ◡̈

Wonderful training and dog daycare experience with Ethan and his team. Ethan is very knowledgeable and in fact is Singapore's very own dog whisperer (yes, he won Caesar's Recruit Asia)! He is able to manage large group of dogs with his secret technique, teach dog behaviour and dietary requirements. In addition, I have lodged my dog at his compound. Not only was it a pleasant experience, my dog's behaviour was a lot better after spending a few days there. Long overdue review, thanks Ethan. Definitely worth the time and money! Very professional and knowledgable team. Started with personal training with Ethan to tackle separation anxiety and my dog’s sensitivities. Daycare also helped and we are very thankful for the support that they have rendered to us thus far. Kudos to the team for their patience in dealing with our endless queries from dog training to nutrition and the “ECA”s :)

Good place to start if you are really looking to train your dog. We were impress at the progress made just after one lesson and given we had a trainer prior we were able to compare the skills of the trainers and Ethan is really in a different league. Should have just engage them from the start ?, would have save a lot of money and time. Not joking.

Highly recommend Urban K9, Ethan and his team, to any dog owner without a doubt. I have a mongrel that is hard to handle, bitten everyone in my family and multiple outsiders, and never would I have thought we would be able to find someone to look after my dog because we have been to and been rejected by many other daycare/boarding providers. We contacted them on a last minute and urgent request back in November last year for long term boarding as I had to make an unforeseen overseas trip to take care of my sick father. Not only was the team super open to my request and super patient in answering to my queries, provided me with assurance that they could handle my dog no matter how problematic, kept me updated on his progress (I didn't even expect any improvements in his behaviour but they managed to help desensitise him to other dogs and humans) but when I received my dog back after the new year, he was well mannered and even his coat has improved. Will definitely be following up with training but we are already very grateful for Urban K9’s help!

Highly recommend if you're facing issues with your doggies. Especially for reactive and aggressive dogs and if you've faced many disappointments from multiple other trainers. But would like to also add that your dog can only improve if you yourself are willing to improve and step out of your comfort zone. Daycare is also structured and too much excitement is not allowed to ensure a safe environment for all the doggies.
