★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am very disappointed with Shichida insisting to go ahead with online classes for our 15 month old toddler, ignoring parents' concern for class effectiveness.
There may be circumstances where online classes do work for children but shouldn't they be around 3 year old, or even at least 2.5 year old? Prior to going ahead with online classes, Shichida did not make any effort to contact parents for our views and preferences to hold online classes for the toddlers.
Not only that, the management ignored enquiries and feedback from concerned parents, i.e. paying customers for 2 weeks. They even hid behind the teachers and make them pass message to and face the music from the parents who were already very irritated from the lack of response from Shichida management.
Shichida only cares about their own profits and convenience. They ignored parents' requests and feedback and simply managed us collectively without addressing any of our feedback and concerns at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We made the payment for our 2 kids for term 81 (july-sept 2021) as soon as we receive their invoice in mid May. Soon after phase 2 heightened alert begins and we do not agree for the online zoom lessons for Shichida due to their teaching method. The management refuse to listen and I made a decision quickly and request for full refund for term 81 on 22nd May 2021. Knowing the fact that they might not refund the 4 lessons (8 lessons for 2 kids) which took place in zoom for existing term 80.
However, I have to say Shichida treat the parents like dirt and with utter no respect. They do not respond at all and the teacher also reply saying someone will contact us. But they seem like an invisible organization and hiding behind their own teachers staff. Not ready to come out to give an answer or face the music. Very poor responsibility. I would not recommend this enrichment centre to anyone and wouldn't entrust our kids to them as their values got serious problem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 2 years old girl join this class on April and we been inform need 1 month notice to take back the deposit and on May we already inform the teacher that we won't be continuing due to phase 2 and Shichida launch zoom learning for the kid. Sent in email inform the management but no respond and decided to call in to inform, the staff told said due to email is sent by 6th June so the deposit is forfeited, and the parental education course cost $230 which listen to the principal to tell about her own story. Will consider bring this to CASE.

Promise to refund but did not pay any single cent back. I suggest parents to think twice or thrice before enrolling your kids.
Send a mountain of emails and calls to them but no reply at all. This pandemic brought out the ugliest side of Shichida Singapore which they care of profits only.
By not refunding and delaying the deposits only leads people to thinking if they are in serious cash flow issues.
All in all, I've lost all trust and confidence in Shichida Singapore.
Opt for Heguru is better.

I personally attended Shichida, Genius League and Heguru before.
Shichida management is the worst. A profit FIRST customer LAST company. You can see how they put money first by their numerous policy :
1) No replacement class offer , you miss you lose , no matter what reason. Other centre such as Genius league do offer one replacement per term.
2) No renewal notice given beforehand to remind parents and get consent for renewal into a new term. They gave invoice 2 weeks in advance and if you decide not to renew they will say, sorry you need to inform them one month in advance and forfeit your $300 dollar deposit. Is like a "trap" to get the deposit for those parents that decide not to renewed.
3) Compulsory home base learning even for baby 2 years and below. A lot of parent felt is not effective but no solution is given. Other center such did stop class for kids 2 years and below during CB.
4) Invisible management, you won't be able to talk to the management, the front line teacher/staff will ask you to reach out our concern or complain tru their general email , which I believe is maintain by their staff. Communication was slow and ineffective, and no solution was given, only standard paper answer will be given.
Very disappointed. I won't recommend to send your child to a centre with such a value system.
I have submitted my complain to CASE. I think all parents with similar problem should raise it to CASE , you may not be able to get the refund but at least we should increase awareness to the public and government bodies that such kind of center is not consistent with our value system. Especially an education institution which is cultivating our future generation, this is really very disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shichida forces 1 year old toddlers to take online classes unilaterally without discussion with and respect for the parents. Despite multiple feedbacks via emails and calls from various parents for weeks to suspend the class or refund the parents, Shichida totally ignored and also stopped holding classes. Shichida only replied with a cookie cutter email to all parents after 2 weeks that they do not refund if the online classes are not attended. They totally ignored emails, phonecalls and demands for refunds from parents.
Shichida also made it compulsory for parents to attend a parental education course which totally did not serve its purpose. That costs $230!!
Beware of your money paid to Shichida. They do not respect paying customers. They go missing and ignore your demand for refund. They are a company that only cares about profits and totally does not care about the effectiveness of the class.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Management is rigid and inflexible. If your child is ill and misses a lesson, the lesson is forfeit. If the teacher is ill, the lesson is rescheduled and if it is to a date which you are unable to attend, the lesson is forfeit. No refunds.

My son has been attending the school for for more than a year since he was 1 year plus. Despite covid challenge of having online classes for young toddlers, we had a dedicated teacher called Crystal who really tried her best to engage and continue with the lessons. My son enjoyed the program in general and we do feel it helps with his memory in general.
After paying school fees in Oct-Dec for Jan-Mar, I was shocked to find out from Crystal in late December that the school has decided to force her to cut down the classes she is teaching so she can no longer teach her afternoon weekend classes. I was surprised that there is no formal communication that came from the school and I also think it's very unprofessional to sneak this on parents who already paid for the semester.
When I called the school to see if it is possible to keep Crystal for the class as she is really an excellent teacher and all 4 of us pairs of parents and kids are also used to each other which makes the claa dynamics enjoyable, there is very poor customer service and I was basically told that "you signed up for the program and not the teacher what". And basically I'm forced to choose another timeline and teacher if I want to change. But all of us are also consumers and know that as much as the program in good, the delivery is also important and definitely there is difference in quality in delivery among individuals. So no choice, I chose to change class.
The parents in original class who stayed feedback that the new teacher quality is not ideal as he doesn't step forward to engage whne a child is stuck.. Just sit from his seat and give comments.
For me in the new class, though they tell me she is the most popular teacher but the level of involvement is very different from teacher Crystal. Example -
1) Crystal used to do excellence crowd control as she held the attention of the kids well. You rarely have kids crying or crawling in the floor. Current teacher allows that and this makes the kids distract one another.
2) Crystal would notice if another child is unwell and ask the parent to step out and bring the kid home. This makes all of us feel safe whereas in current claaa, one kid was coughing loudly and I'm surprised the teacher didn't ask him to mask up
3) when crystal noticed my son (or any of the kids) was distracted, she would step forward to further engage and catch the attn back. I learnt techniques from watching her interact with my son which I continue to use at home. Current teacher only teaches from the front. Maybe it's not expected from them to come forward but it really helps. So pls don't tell me I sign up for the program and not teacher
4) because of lack of class control, the class is also slower paced and I can tell in past few weeks we haven't been able to reach the math activities by the time class is up.. Doesn't this short change the students?
5) crystal used to send pre-work or vdos linked to that weeks class on whatsapp with her own mobile.. Which helps to integrate learning for my son by the time he attends class. Now, I ask the teacher for observation notes (which crystal sent promptly every week previously). I was told that for Admin reasons my sons name wasnt in the lsit in the app so she couldnt write.. So firstly, Admin.. We alr in the class 2 weeks, why was I not listed in her class list? I turned up on lesson day 1 and teacher was surprised as my sons name not on her list. And secondly, even if not on list can still write offline or send thru another medium right? I used to rely on crystals feedback to incorporate into my homework session with him.
All in all, I want to say this is a wonderful program run by very poor management who doesn't put welfare of their staff, parents and kids, echoing the many other reviews here which I notice the school never bother to reply also..
