Average food costing twice as much as alternatives. Food came out of a can upon order. Skip the long queue and just buy this from a convenience store.

The food on the display shelves might not appeal, especially the silver / golden promfet... but gosh... they are very well cooked and doesn't cold and stale like the way it looks haha and for the first time... i feel like talking about the scrambled egga with onions. it's good

This long-standing stall operated by a grumpy older and friendly younger male is one of the more popular hawkers of the classic mixed rice and porridge in the food center. We try to visit whenever we're in Singapore for a selection of tasty and affordable dishes including the braised pig intestines, steamed fish, blood cockles in soy, stir-fried stingray with chili and salted vegetable, steamed fish cake and spicy dried shrimp.

all the other dishes are honestly average but the fish is always so meaty and fresh, it more than compensated for the long slow moving queue and less delicious dishes.

The queue is long and takes a while before we finally manged to order. The braised duck is not tasty and i find it bland. The cabbage and fried egg are alright. I will give a 3 stars as of now. Will try out other dishes next time.lets hope is not going to be a disappointing experience on my next visit.?

Saw a review by a fellow foodie, so came to try this stall at Toa Payoh Lor 8 Food Centre. They had many dishes which you associate with teochew porridge, like fish cake, big steamed fish and heibeehiam, just to name a few. Ordered porridge, big/small braised pig intestines and braised pork belly for one person. Cost me $5.50, which I thought was very reasonable. Pork belly was quite lean, enjoyed the intestines with the chilli given. Best to come and eat with a few friends or family members, so that you can order more dishes, but will have to wait till after June 13. Fingers crossed! #supportsghawker #supportlocalsg

One of our family's favourite supper or late dinner place. Reasonable price with homecooked taste. Dad's favourite dish is steam whole fish. Chilli is also good!

Teochew Muay (Porridge). Considered a comfort food to many Teochews and what many considered as the water rice version of Chye png. But the key difference is the dishes does not get thrown into the bowl of porridge. Instead it comes in mini plates like for sharing even when its only for one pax.
