What is important about fish soup? 1. The fish must be fresh and 2. The soup must be flavorful. This stall have both. Not to mention the portion is quite generous as well. Another plus point, the stall is very neat and clean.

I order taken away slice fish soup taken away and they charge 30 cents for the plastic container which is fine. The stall keeper gave me a dirty look when I recycled and reused the same plastic container for my order during my subsequent patronage. 2 times patronage is enough. It's not as if the fish soup is so delicious that it deserves to be raved about.

Paid $3.50 for a plate of dumpling noodles. Although the noodles were springy, they were a bit dry and hard. The dumplings and soup were acceptable. Service was efficient and friendly.

Both Male and Female stall personnel were very rude. Requested politely to seperate chicken feet in a plastic bag, replied by both male and female stall personnel 'no, we dont have such thing to separate in a plastic bag'. Then, I politely ask if the green chillies can be separated in another plastic bag as I told them I will keep the noodles until late afternoon. Again, both of them replied in 'no' in a very rude manner. I dont mind to pay for the extra plastic container or plastic bag, they could just tell in a decent manner but both of their attitude was very rude and bad, like I owe them a million bucks!

This wanton noodle stall is located inside the Toa Payoh lor 8 blk 210 food centre.they are located at the last few rows right beside an economical rice stall. There wasnt a queue when i was there. Other than wanton noodles, they also serves dumpling and braised chicken feet noodle. Wanton noodles starts from SGD$3 onwards. Portion was generous for $3, noodle was nicely cooked. Texture of noodle wae springy.charsiew wasnt too shabby. Tasty but not too dry. Wanton filling was quite little but tasty.

There are a couple of wanting noodle stall in this Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Hawker Centre. This stall is unique in that the roasted/grilled chart siew is been roasted and served fresh. You can see the grill at the stall (see stall photo). The noodle is fine and lovely and so is the wanton in the soup. They, also, served chicken feet noodle, sold separately.

I'm a big fan of wanton noodle. You can find many good ones at Joo Chiat area. And now at Hai Kee decided to try with a skeptical mind. To my surprise this plate score a 4. Noodle was springy with reasonable amount of chilli. The Char siew taste quite ok although a bit dry. The winner was the wanton (dumpling) which so good. If you are in this food centre just give it a try.
