We were a household looking for a helper for the first time to take care of infant / young kids, to do general housework and to cook. Before CT got on the flight, the agent in Myanmar took the necessary precautions to ensure that she had a hair net and a good-quality mask. During the SHN, Freda continued to follow up with CT to make sure she was coping and eating well. After the SHN, Freda updated us on CT PCR results and proceeded to bring her for medical checks before bringing her home for two days. During these two days, Freda provided CT an introduction to the typical Singapore lifestyle, instructions on operating electrical appliances, and explained the typical house rules. After that, Freda personally sent CT to our home and reassured her that she would be well taken care of. It has been almost 3 weeks since CT started work at our household. Freda has continued to provide advice and support to us to help CT adapt to local food and culture, to overcome feelings of homesickness and to transit smoothly into her new role. CT has been a wonderful help to our family and our kids enjoy being around her.
