Beancurd here is good! Gula Melaka was an interesting flavour to try but I preferred the original flavoured one. Hawker centre is clean, no birds flying in, toilets clean as well. Many food options here

Coffee stall lasts forever, nearly 30 years Qing Qing. Pretty plenty of choices for youngsters in bean curb, jelly, Teck Hwa. Market and hawker are modernised with bright lit stall. Found little old style fried prawn here, 记得来吃。 Food center is well lit and ventilated.

Fairly empty at time of visit (10am Friday). Stores with constant queue were the roast meat store, main tauhuey store, hokkien mee store. Ordered the famous carrot cake large size $4, took about 40mins. Not as nice as I recall and frankly even too salty, and this was after I had my other dishes. Wouldn’t have it again. Had the large size $3.50 mee Siam, it was really good and I would be happy to have it again. Auntie squeezes the lime juice for you so you don’t have to do it yourself. The tauhuey $1 was good but I didn’t prefer it. Though silky somehow I felt there was no more soybean taste. It felt like I was eating agarAgar or pudding… Hokkien mee smallest size $5, was really good. It was flavorful, umami, good taste of lard without the porky taste. Chilli was not my fav but the base noodles itself was way too good already. Would have it again but it is a big portion for the smallest size. Toapayoh HC is not bad. Was wondering why it was quite empty today but realised must have been because of the current covid cluster here . Lol…

A Nostalgic Taste Of Kway Chap!! Can Try If You Are A Kway Chap Lover... I Don't Really Take Intestines, But Theirs Are Indeed Well Served I Would Say~

Nice n adorable madeleines and big crossiants at this stall. Madeleines were fresh out of oven when I visited at 9 plus in e morning. Run by a young hawker and they sell waffles, ice cream n pasta too.

I give it a 5 star rating as I found 2 stalls were exceptional out of my expectation, although the other 2 with fairly ok taste after my own trial. The soybeam milk and the You Tiao Man are awesome, it's the best I've tried since came to Singapore. The You Tiao Man has no butter flavor, and it's not like the others that it too much stuff, it tastes crisp out side but also light feel inside with a little salty. The boss said there's not so many people make You Tiao in the old way like him, I totally believe. Astonishingly, the 88 congee was a little disappointed though a lot of people were in the queue. The congee is too thick, rice was not totally melted. Maybe I've tasted too much Cantonese style of congee, I would only give 3 star for this. The Teochew Handmade Pau was ok, I'll give it a 4 star, as it's just doing ok and the same as I tried in a Pau stall in Tiong Bahru. I didn't try the other famous ones like carrot cake, fried fish soap that day as they were not open. But all in all, a place worth to go again!
