Tbh, it was very disappointing. I used to like tok tok when it first opened near tanjong pagar, so I thought of eating here when I visited Singapore again. I ordered nasi uduk. The egg has this rubber texture if you can see from the photo. The vermicelli kinda have funky smell or taste? Like it was stale or old. The same goes to the tempe, it was hard to chew. The fried chicken and fritter is the only good thing. I think I may just have a bad luck. Hopefully, they can be have someone to manage or improve the standard. Oh, forgot to add that it took very long to be served. Probably around 25 to 30 mins to be served even though they have served everyone before me. Even the person after me, who ordered the same thing, only got hers another 20 mins after mine is served. I also overheard them complaining about the nasi uduk being not nice.

Employee are very polite. Ordered mie ayam bakso, was ready in just a couple minutes. Smells very good but not like anything i had have from mie ayam bakso. After stirring the noodle for a bit, i found that the smell was from the sesame oil beneath it. I don't recall having lots of sesame oil in my mie ayam back when i was in Indonesia (Bandung). After a few bite, i came to a conclusion, it taste just t Like instant noodle and it kind of represent Nissin instant noodle, the red package one with sesame (出前一丁,麻油味) The bakso and the soup taste ok, just as i would expected. They have a self service return your tray but it only have 4 small window for it and it was all occupied.

Hearty Soto Betawi. Ordered Soto Betawi and the soup was served at perfect temperature! Beef was tender and the broth flavourful. At slightly around $10 the portion is filling with rice on the side. I also love the generous portion if crackers on the soup. The restaurant theming is good and plenty of seats. The lady who took my order was courteous. I’ll definitely try their other dishes soon. Warning.. the chili is super spicy as it should be lol!

Food is not bad with springy noodles. Would be great if it came hot steamy noodles. Soup is hot and nice. Definitely coming back to try the others

My first time and last time... TOK TOK I Indonesia at Joo Chiat... The Oz Tail Soup is a tad saltish.. The Ayam Bakar is a let down... The Nasi Kuning is acceptable.... The Gado Gado is unique.... Overall the cost of $81 is over statement on the quality of the food.

Arrived at 12noon 20 Dec, shop was under staff due to MC thereafter Bakmie Ayam wasnt availabe. Tried Ayam Penyet and Nasi Udut, both fried chicken thighs are slightly dry and tough, not tender/soft as anticipated. Staff are friendly. Due to shortage of staff, clearing of plates/cups are not done at all as it continues to pile up when i leave.

Foods served generally are ok, price are affordable. Just the fried chicken was a litle bit dry and hard, soup was nice, and their chili/sambal sauce was nice to try too. Dining in might need to wait a little bit longer due to limited space inside the restaurant.

It is better to make your online reservation if you wanna be guaranteed a table when you come, as this restaurant is still popular. Food wise, so so only… on the serving staff: 1 helpful and 1 not so friendly. Price: we feel many items are quite over-priced by around 25% or May be that will be the norm everywhere in SG with global inflation kicks in?!??‍♂️??‍♀️ We saw a table of 13 young adults the same night when we dined in and IF they are repeated customers then probably they like the food here. If they are first timers like us, then I’m not sure if they will come back here again. A glimpse into the prices & make your own judgement: A plate of ayam Bakar cost S$30/- (too pricy?) ; oxtail soup is S$17/- (good for two to share); 10 sticks of chicken satay is $17/- (reasonably priced, I guess) Ayam satay is great? but the satay sauce may not to the general’s liking. Turmeric Rice & coconut rice : S$2.80 per plate. Shredded Ice with some mixed fruits dessert S$5.80 per bowl.
