So small portion, can’t accept that warship roll‘s nori is soggy

Am still giving a 5 stars because I'm there for the food and the food never fails to impress me well. Affordable and fresh. However, we could totally see a manpower crunch which means servers & manager be rushing here there. Our request for orders (ie miso soup/etc) were repeatedly forgotten. But we understand.

Had one of the funnest sushi express experience at this branch with my mother when it first opened many many years ago. And because each time the experience was exciting and inexpensive i frequented it almost monthly or bimonthly, now at other branches nearer my house. Haven't been to this branch for years. This time however, i felt that the place was short staffed and i had to wait so long for the conveyor belt to be topped up. Like normally i could eat 15 to 20 plates by myself this time only 15 together with my partner in crime. It was so slow! Like nothing was exciting on the belt anymore despite their new products or there were many holes waiting to be filled with new plates of awesomeness. Really, its not even their premium plates that im complaining about! Hope they can improve! Service standards are still good tho!

Had 8 plates at $14. Value for money. Good for quick bites.

The cost-cutting measures are real! Salmon sashimi portion sizes are becoming smaller and smaller, but the price remained the same. Restaurant is also understaff when I visited it during the weekend, without only one staff handling cashiering and waitering duties. Limited number of food options as well… Wait time to be seated in a 1/3-empty restaurant is also unnecessarily long. Disappointed with the experience from this outlet

Pretty much what you would expect from a sushi express. It gets very crowded during lunch and dinner time. I always feel like they're under-staffed. Staffs aren't the friendliest, but they're okay. Tried a new menu item this time round, I thought it was beef, but it doesn't rly taste like beef. Didn't really enjoy it tho. ( Edit : Just checked their FB page, it is indeed beef. It's called Pastrami Beef Sushi )

I haven't eaten here in a while before today. They touted that they were making the salmon slices thicker. From what I saw it was about 2-4mm thicker at most (on the salmon nigiri) which was great. There were a lot of things that I was rather upset about. Firstly, the staff that greeted me looked absolutely exhausted. I think they need a raise and more breaks, to improve morale. Secondly, you could barely see anyone in the kitchen! Most of the staff were for cleaning tables and helping with the cashier as well as guests. When we had to wait around 15 minutes just for the type of food we wanted to come out during dinner rush hours. I hate it when companies purposely understaff workers and drive them half insane for an outdated minimum wage! Thirdly, the rice on the nigiri was overseasoned, it's overpowered the taste of the fish. Lastly, despite increasing the thickness of salmon slices, I noted that on the salmon sashimi plate there were only 2 slices instead of 3 now and that their unagi nigiri slices became thinner too (~2mm thick). I think it's really stupid to report changes in the menu when you only report the good changes. Customers are not stupid, we know you're stealing from our experience. It also really wouldn't kill you to pay your employees a livable wage, the poor things look like they had their souls sucked out of them and no decent meal to eat in the week! Absolutely horrendous.

Quick. Simple. Value for money. Salmon is nice. And also the salmon. And the salmon. That’s about it. ? but can’t complain for the price
