The hot soba broth is really good! Felt like I was back in Japan when slurping it up. Noodles were decent, but a bit harder than expected. Ajitama was average, not that salty. Cold soba is good for hot days, refreshing but same gripe about the noodle texture. Their tempura is really yummy too but loved the natto tsutsumi age (basically a VERY stuffed fried tofu pocket) the most!! If you appreciate natto it is a must try - the gooey natto contrasted with the crisp tofu skin is amazing!!

Had the kakiage soba. Tempura was crisp, lightly battered, not too greasy and the mix and tenderness of the vegetables was just right. The soba had a distinct buckwheat fragrance and its firm, dense texture stood out. Soup was clean yet well seasoned, providing good balance to the mildly earthy flavour of the soba; the hot soup was also the perfect chaser to each bite of kakiage, which could get heavy on the palate due to its preeminent qualities of being both deep fried and a substantial bite. Ultimately, it was an efficient and satisfying meal. Not the sort of place you would linger but if you are the drinking sort, I would consider washing it all down with a beer to boot. This is a small, no frills sort of joint where you order off a self-ordering kiosk and the staff are mostly focused on back-of-house work. For a place so apparently self-serious about their soba, oddly upbeat Japanese pop plays loudly in the background. It all just adds to the charm because the food at Tokyo Soba lives up to its name.

The staff recommend us Cold Nebaneba Soba that is with natto, tororo and okura. We really like this! The noodle al dente, firm springy with a good bite. The topping when mixed together complement each other so well. I actually like this cold soba more than the hot soba, however only order this if you like natto and the slimy texture isn't a concern for you. We also have Kaisen Kakiage Soba (Mixed Seafood Tempura) in hot broth. The tempura was served separately so that it would not sit in the broth and turn soggy. The soba soup is clear and quite light to the taste, however I do feel a slight salty but is just me. I have lower tolerance for saltiness. The noodles here although have the same firm texture but lacks the chewy bite feel thus pulled down the taste overall else it would be a quite a good bowl of soba. Not sure if is due to the soaking in hot broth. Kaisen Kakiage Soba (Mixed Seafood Tempura) noodle served cold. The cold soba is al dente, springy and with a good bite . What i really enjoyed was the seafood tempura. Fried to perfection. Cripsy and yet light. Not overly oily and generous in ingredients. Ig: @zoey_belle_

Comfort hot soba reminiscent of dining in Japan! This little gem outside Icon Village warmed me to my belly. The tempura was light, soup was wholesome and the soba was great! Thinking of whether to leave a review as I wanted to keep this place to myself. Definitely going back to try their other combinations!

We ordered hot soba, ? should order cold soba, because I eat in the burning afternoon. I don't like the Tako wasabi, but I do like their fried fish alot!! It tastes good when you dip with the soup. The reason giving 4stars is I don't really like the soy sauce soup. ?

A faithful familiar to run to when I need a quick meal without really having to think too much. Love the freshly made buckwheat noodles here! Service here is brisk, don't expect too much as it's a hole in the wall dining space. Basically you come here to grab a quick bite and you're out the door next since the store is pretty small. I've seen them turn down people who refuse to wait because the chef is busy fulfilling orders for home deliveries. A testament to their commitment to all their customers, not just dine-in customers. I try to come in during off-peak hours so I don't have to wait. I usually order the watercress tempura. It's not something common here in Singapore Their prawn tempura is also really good. To keep things interesting, they do offer seasonal items as well.
