Having been to the 7-storey tokyu hands store in Tokyo and Osaka, this stall is definitely a far cry from. But still very happy to see all the familiar items. Wish they could bring in more stuff!!

The shop offers a lot of interesting products from Japan. It’s a nice store to visit if you want novelty gifts, kitchen supplies, beauty products, stationery, etc. Staff are also warm and able to give item recommendations. Products are pricey though.

Had previously purchased several stationery items from them. Have generally been impressed by their range of very good quality and rare Japanese goods. But I would like to highlight a very pleasant experience when I had purchased a Japanese-made wok from them. The service rendered was impeccable. On inspection before purchase, I found that the only new piece in the store had a tiny rust spot. Service staff searched for other new pieces (to which they had none), then ultimately suggested that I take a display piece instead (with very minor hairline scratches on the bottom). They then proceeded to buff out all the scratch marks without me asking. They even casually offered me good advice on how to maintain a carbon steel/cast iron pan, as they were buffing the scratch marks for me. Whilst I already know how to maintain my cookware, the fact that they were so proactive in doing so was a definite plus. Noted that another reviewer gave them a one-star review for selling nothing but unnecessary goods, without highlighting the service rendered or kind of goods purchased. It is important to understand that Tokyu Hands serves a special niche. If you are looking for Japanese-made items that may be difficult to find in Singapore, this may be an excellent place to start.

Really nice store, excellent service, great products. I would highly recommend shopping here. I love the book mate they sell. Convenient location, I will definitely return and am glad they have made it to Singapore.

Bought a lunch box from here and it was spoilt after 10 days of use. The latch snapped off when I was opening up the box. I brought back the box to the shop, hoping for an solution. I was utterly disappointed by how your staff handled my feedback. While I fully understand the 7 days return policy, the staff repeatedly claimed that the box was being dropped to cause the breakage. I walked away not only disappointed but also being accused of something that I did not do. I think more training should be given to staff on how to handle customers professionally. I wanted a better quality lunch box that’s why I am willing to spend more ($30 for a lunch box), and also because I believe Tokyo hands has got quality in the products sold. However, this lunch box seems to be of a worse off quality than those free gift containers that I gotten.

A cool and wide range of Japanese products. Nice layout. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful.

Thank you szeyun for helping us sort out our needs in the store. Reminds us of Japan customer service. Very pleasant customer service over the phone by another employee as well. Either this is a value add by the individual sales assistants or tokyu hands bother to train their staff well. Either way, thank you for the pleasant experience. It was only for a $30 pen purchase with the engraving service but felt like we bought a $1000 pen. We will definitely be returning ??

Visited on 11 April in the evening. Bought some stationery for my nephew, requested to have them wrapped. Friendly and helpful male staff did the wrapping. He also asked for my nephew's name and wrote it on the wrapper. :)
