Uncle Penyet

Chicken taste pretty normal leaning on bland, quite oily. Nothing to rave about - though the only good is the chili. 50 cents charge for takeaway is rather pricy.

Havent been to the stall, always order home delivery and never disappoint me once! Love their ayam panggang, ayam penyet, chicken wings and otah. Pricey but good portion and tasty! Chilli is nice too. Penyet is diff from Indo style but its tasty as well.

Poor service, morning male cashier at 8.40am turned me away by saying business not open yet. All other stores are already have queues, and he still turning customers away and procrastinating?? Weird way to do business, sad for the boss…? it’s staff attitude like this that lead to down fall of otherwise good tasting hawker food.

Really the WORST in service from the night staffs there! Ask for extra sambal chilli 3 TIMES right in front of them and no response or whatsoever from them at all! Its like talking to zombies! Cannot afford to give extra sambal to customers then dont open penyet stall! $6 plus yam penyet but sambal like 1 teaspoon quantity, enough to eat or not??? Really the worst penyet stall i've tried before! Extremely disappointed to the core! Dont even deserve a SINGLE star from me!!!

Tried this stall for ayam penyet. Firstly, at $6.80, it's pretty pricy for ayam penyet. Ordered both ayam penyet and ayam pangggang sets to try. The ayam penyet while skin is crispy, the meat is dry and blend. The ayam panggang faired better with tender and moist meat. sauce is good too. What i really don't like is the way the staff handled the food, which is pretty unhygienic to me. Once they dropped the bowl to scoop rice on the floor, the lady just rinsed it very briefly and without even drying the bowl just dumped the wet bowl back into the cooked rice bucket. The other lady was touching food without using gloves also. Seemed to me they can't handle the volume of orders from both walk in and delivery orders. Which caused them to take shortcuts prioritising speed over hygene. Lastly their takeaway containers cost 50 cents each for penyet. so bring your own containers to save the money.

The morning shift male assistant turned me and another customer away from ordering so that he can join queue to go buy drinks. The drink store queue no more after less than 10 min. He could have prioritize and serve the 2 of us first. Guess he is not the boss and store income is not his priority. His female colleague is present but seems only do kitchen and serving customer is not her job. I feel sorry for the owner at such attitudes

Big portion, really good price quantity. Tender chicken I like it. The chilli sauce is amazing I recommend. The rice is normal.

Another great food spot in Punggol to crave for! Their dishes are very well prepared and delicious. Taste is very consistent throughout all of my visits. Definitely the best Ayan Penyet in whole of Punggol & Sengkang region.
