I started experiencing neck stiffness and pain from 2H of Y2020. Thinking it was due to poor posture sitting or slouching, I went for massages, consulted the TCM, and later, the GP and physiotherapist, hoping that improved blood circulation and strengthening/stretching exercises would help. Unfortunately I didn’t get much relief from the pain, and further developed dizziness and brain fog. I didn’t want to rely on pain killers to tone down the pain because they affect my mental acuity. Finally on a sleepless night plagued by pain, I discovered Dr Shaan Rai and Vitality Chiropractic Centre, and made an appointment the following morning, to be assessed if chiropractic treatment is right for my condition. Dr Shaan is professional and a very friendly chiropractor. He patiently explains and shares studies and literature on adopting chiropractic care as a form of reliable, effective way to keeping one’s general health and well-being. My condition has improved remarkably mid-way through my prescribed plan of treatment. I feel a sense of “grounded-ness” knowing the cause of my condition~subluxations!, and how Dr Shaan expertly uses chiropractic adjustments to help me “take back my life”. Two things for which I must commend Vitality Chiropractic Centre:- 1) A folder consisting information and guide to help patients understand and then participate in their chiropractic care plan is very useful, wholesome lifestyle tips which would benefit everyone. 2) The recovery suites (designed for patients to rest which then enables the body to process an adjustment) are very relaxing, i often use that time to “do nothing” which is a precious break from the busyness of the mind! Thank you, Dr Shaan and Vitality Chiropractic Centre, for being a part of my self-care journey. Please keep up the good work, so that many others can also be helped?

I had migraine since I was a teenager. Over time it got worse and I was diagnosed with overuse medication headache. I was advised to take aimovig, a new drug for treatment of migraine to be injected once a month. That's when i chanced upon Dr Shaan. After 3 months of treatment the frequency and severity of my migraine tremendously improved. I would recommend anyone having the same problem to see Dr Shann

My daughter suffered from severe migraines for more than 1 year and other developing symptoms like increasing body pains (fibromyalgia), permanent fatigue, and inability to focus. After numerous visits to the emergency room and a battery of medical tests, Drs could find no cause to her worsening pains. After exhausting all avenues, I decided to try upper cervical chiropractic treatment after coming across one of Dr Shaan's videos. It's only been almost 2 months and my daughter has shown improvement in all her symptoms and a significant improvement in her quality of life. I am extremely thankful to Dr Shaan. Thank you for your great work and for making upper cervical care available in Singapore. I would also like to commend Dr Shaan for his dedication and efforts to educate the public about chiropractic through his videos, books and literature in his centre. The knowledge is so valuable and important for our health and wellness.

My cervical spine was injured because of a fall. I couldn't sleep well and have tangling sensation on my right hand. I couldn't do housework normally, which also affected my daily life. I am very happy to meet the right therapist. After 24 sessions, the pain disappeared and my body has returned to normal. Thanks you Dr Shaan.

So glad that I finally found a solution for my chronic migraine after having it for almost 2 decades…I really owe this to dr.Shan , it’s my second year with him and I waited this long to actually write him a proper review…and these days I no longer carry my painkillers with me and all this wouldn’t have been possible without the sessions with dr.Shan ..thank you dr shan & team

I was skeptical at first, but after seeing so many good reviews, I decided to give it a try. As with any treatment, you need to invest time to see results. I bought a package as suggested by Dr. Shaan and have been going at the recommended times. Initially twice a week, then once a week, now bi-weekly. I would say that about a month in I could already see the results. Headaches and migraines became less frequent. I used to have headaches once per 1-2 weeks and always had Panadol supplies at home. Now headaches are becoming less frequent, perhaps once per month or 2. This is the place to be if you have headaches, migraines or nerve compression induced vertigo.

Overall a poor experience. Pushy sales and doctor lacks transparency. Great & friendly counter staff though. I feel that readers have the right to know how Vitality runs their sessions/sales, and this review contains info i would have loved to know before spending so much time & effort w them. I learnt about Vitality Chiropractic via The Smart Local (TSL) article, and decided to give Vitality a try. My sessions were with Dr Jessey, a new doctor who just joined in May 2022. Everything went as per the TSL article, questionnaire, scans, physical assessment. Jessey said i needed an x-ray, made me top-up $140 on the spot, and I went to Quantum Medical Imaging for x-rays. Dr Shaan left a positive review in QMI's Google profile. What did not go well: 1) I returned today for the follow up and chiro adjustment, and Jessey refused to perform any adjustment unless I sign up for a $3,645 package for 36 sessions, and pay immediately. She was already getting ready to stand up and walk to the counter for payment. That's a huge sum, most ppl will agree. And since I had not even received any chiro adjustment, it is not logical to commit to a doctor that was not "tried and tested". Jessey has 0 google reviews, so you understand my dilemma. 2) I asked if i could pay on a per-session basis (and i don't mind paying more), and Jessey got upset and changed her tone. She said they don't accept payments on a per-visit basis due to "ethical reasons", as they don't want clients to disappear after one visit. She then added, “Because if this happens, then you’re wasting my time and your time.” While I understand the intent behind her words, I’m not too sure about the choice of such harsh words, since I was the one who was making special trips to the clinic. 3) FYI, Jessey tends to say “like I mentioned”, “like I said” a lot, so be prepared to be spoken down to. 4) “My way or the highway” mentality: Since i was already at the clinic, i suggested that i pay for today's adjustment separately while we confirm the package with the insurance company, but Jessey refused, again quoting "ethics". Diff ppl have diff views on this – but i think it is unethical for the clinic to force you to pay $3,645 upfront to lock you in for 36 sessions (when you haven’t even experienced their adjustment). If you don’t get the package, they refuse to make any adjustments at all (even if you are already there). Some ppl might succumb to this sales tactic due to the sunk cost fallacy. - How do you know that 36 sessions are needed for the client, if you also claim that each client’s body will respond differently to the adjustments, and depending on that, the treatment duration differs? - With a full upfront payment, what happens if something goes wrong or clients disagree w the doctor’s practices? Do you provide refunds to clients? - Are there T&Cs for signing the package? What are your refunds/liabilities policies? - Do doctors have any sales targets, else why did Jessey look so stressed when discussing about the package? 6) Inconsistent statements from The Smart Local and Dr Jessey: While Jessey insisted she does not do one-off chiro adjustments and clients must sign up for a full package, this contradicts with the TSL article, where Steph had shared how Jessey proceeded w chiro adjustments on the spot, with photo proof. When I told Jessey about this, she insisted she never did any chiro adjustment for TSL, and asked me to forward her the link, so i'm sharing here. It's strange that Jessey doesn't know what is written about her, and there is a double standard here. 7) When I asked for Dr Shaan, Jessey became alert and cautiously asked why I wanted to speak with him, and if I know him personally – I’m not sure why this matters, but I said no. If you don't trust that your chiro skills will make clients return willingly (so you force them into long-term contracts), then how do you expect clients to trust you with their nervous system? Sustainable relationships are built on trust and mutual respect, not monetary contracts.
