No msg, no inflammation causing vegetable oil. Just wholesome, fresh fish ( many varieties including Alaskan wild caught salmon! ) cooked in good old pork lard, topped with fresh greens. Specially and creatively concocted condiments perfectly complement this simple but deeply flavoured, collagen-rich fish soup. Add a kampong chicken egg or two and you'll have the most perfect balance of tastes and nutrition your body craves. #nocarbs #ketodiet

Boss of Wang Yuan truly believes in eating right and that's what resonates with us. Having been in the business for many years, first starting out as his father's help and now doing this on his own, Derrick believes firmly in eating natural. He introduces no msg and artificial flavours to his soups and ensures that customers are well- informed so that they can make more healthy choices. To the extent of refusing to use vegetable oil, substituting it with pork lark and natural alternatives. More recently, I've been adding organ meats to my fish soup, together with two kampung eggs which I'd usually have. Fish-wise, I usually go for wild-caught salmon. If that's not available, I will settle for grouper or any other fish with firm flesh. Great place for real food with highly customisable combinations.

Love the variety of fish they have in their selections, their fresh and tasty flavourful broth and their in-house condiments/sauces that adds a tangy punch to the soup. I get allergies from ingesting msg so I guess they are the real fish soup mc-coy. Price point is a bit on the high side, but hey, you gotta give respect to quality where it's due.

I like it that there is no MSG and you can choose your own fresh veggies and there’s lots of it! The owner also frequently has new items on the menu or seasonal add ons like fresh oysters, la la, and today there was organic chicken drumstick too. There is also keto cauliflower rice and also braised pork. Some of the new items are not on the menu so you have to ask what’s new or check their Facebook page for the latest.

This is my go-to place for fish soup. Thankfully I'm nearby and can have my usual order of fish soup with minced pork once or twice a week! I've patronised Derek's fish soup stall for more than decade now, when he was still at another coffeeshop. His soup has been getting better, and I love it that I can choose my veggies. I also love the fried crispy lard and different condiments that complement the fish soup. Derek has started selling his phtonutrients stock which comes in frozen packs. Very handy when I make soup at home. Oh his fried brown rice is very yummy too! I don't have pics to post cos I was hungry and eager to eat, and finished everything before I thought of taking a pic.?

The uncle selling the soup is very friendly and he has a bunch of regulars and knows all their orders. His fish soup is healthy and free of MSG, which is why I’ll always come back! Very hard to find that in Singapore nowadays. It’s delicious too!

Taste is damn bad!! Goodness I ordered β€œpork lard oyster egg bomb cauliflower rice” and you can see from the photos the β€œpork lard” is water boiled pork belly - This is a joke right?? From their menu photo and side dish order the pork lard is supposed to be fried brown and crispy. The cauliflower rice is watery and the whole bowl taste like capsicum water!! The fish soup is WORSE I felt nausea from the stale green veg taste with zero seasoning (who the hell puts purple cabbage, mustard greens and broccoli to boil together??). Blessing in disguise no fish taste (also joke tho) so no fishy-ness. Otherwise I’d have thrown up. Honestly I know the place trying to go healthy but come on don’t go throwing everything β€œhealthy” into the water and boil then sell at $15 - $30 for a bowl can??!
