★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not "ecomonic rice", is "expensive rice". Picked one meat + one vegetable + one tofu skin (tau kee) = SGD 5.10, felt like i was living in year 2030.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have two Wen Jia Bao stalls.
One stall is selling their signatures Spring onion pancake 葱油饼, biscuit with meat & vegetables, big pau. The taste sometimes is not consistent but if you get the proper ones, most of them are delicious.
The other stall is a food stall which sells mixed rice/bee hoon dishes. I can't really say it's tasty but it's ok for a simple meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very expensive economy rice, and worst of all, the fried bee hoon tasted not fresh and even sour-ish. Feels like they sold you the overnight leftover food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff, especially the Indian guy who speaks Chinese, are all cocky and very rude. I felt harassed when I went there the last couple of times.
Just today I went there again to give the live frying noodles a try, always smelled so good, then I decided to leave cause the wait was too long and no one would take my order.
One of the staff yelled "oh walk away!" in Cantonese.
I am never patronizing them again!
It's such a pity because I thought they had quite affordable and good economy rice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My recent visit was pretty pleasant (so not sure why there were many bad comments). Shop is small but decently clean.
Their economy rice is average (i give it a 3 star). But their Penang char kuey teow was awesome! Real Penang/KL style, lots of 'wok hei'. I ordered 1 dine in and 1 take away, both were fried by different person (dine in was from an auntie, take away from a middle-aged man) and both were awesome! I will surely go back again!
