This is an overall very good wanton noodles. The style is neither old school nor Cantonese but a rather unique blend of tradition and modern. Noodles - chewy and QQ. No reason to complain but I do like my noodles a bit thicker and harder. The sauce is the mix of lard oil and soy sauce and works well with the noodles. Wanton - these are the boiled ones, on the smaller sides. They are well marinated, and would be better if they are softer. Char Siew - these are the BBQ types using the pig's armpit. You can see alternate streaks of fats and meat on the char siew. These are KL style, very dark and salty - not the HK sweet/ red BBQ type. The char siew is the highlight. Price - on the high side at $6 for small and $8 for large. This is understandable considering the store is in a Joo Chiat coffeeshop. Heard the original shop is in Golden Mile Food Centre with more economical hawker prices. I will definitely return when I have craving for BBQ char siew wanton noodles.

Go for the jumbo portion, char siew was well done, noodles were chewy. Dumplings was ok.

This has a good balance of caramelized and tender char siew with springy noodles and flavourful sauce. Usually the sauce is nice but the char siew is lackluster or vice-versa. However this hits all the right spots!

Go for the Char Siew!! Had Dumpling Char Siew noodle and it looks superb but overpriced and maybe too many cooks behind the scenes. The dumplings were cold, soup and noodle only warm. Possibly a result of a Lack of co-ordination between four cooks each doing bit-part Noodles were good as was the chili. The freshly roasted char Siew was great. I’d suggest a Visit the Golden Mile outlet as its $1-1.50 cheaper on ALL dishes

Really old school taste which is authentic. Everything was good other than the $7 portion was pretty small. Even the missus, who is a small eater, thought that. The char siu was the bomb, being sweet yet chunky and slightly charred. The fried pork lard and the lard oil also added to the overall taste. The noodles were QQ and the chilli was not too spicy as well. The two dumplings were plump and tasty. Surprisingly, there was hardly any queue when we arrived at 11am.

Very good bowl of wanton mee. Noodles are perfectly cooked and toasted in light sauce and chili. The char siew has right amount of fat and burn ends. Come early to avoid disappointment.

Came here with much anticipation that this will be another iconic place for a savoury bowl/plate of wanton noodle. But I left feeling a bit sad to be honest. The noodle is Q and feels almost like al dente capellini. But the char siew is rather disappointing. Though the portion is generous and it is charred nicely with some fat, it is hard and lack that meaty texture and flavour. It reminds me of smoked meat the more I eat. For the boiled wanton and dumpling, it would be good if the skin could have been thinner and softer. The sauce is nice but could be thicker and less watery. The white jumbo bowl is $8 and the orange regular plate is $6. Overall not bad but can certainly be better for my liking.

Visited them and ordered the large portion. Good hearty bowl of wanton noodle. Noodles were Q and flavourful. In love with the char siew and chilli. Keep up the good work! Thank you
