My family and I have frequented Wilson's shop for years, and I would just like to record my personal experience with his service below out of gratitude. A couple of months ago, I brought my laptop to him to fix. It was a complex issue that would take time to diagnose, not least because it initially seemed to be merely a HDD failure issue which would be easy to remedy. After he ran tests for an hour, he told me that it seemed more likely that the graphics card was faulty, but he would have to run further diagnostics to confirm. He told me upfront that if it was indeed a graphics card issue, he would advise me not to replace it as it would hardly be cost effective. After a couple of hours, he let me know that it was really a graphics card issue. In total he spent 3 hours testing and trying to fix a laptop, and charged me a grand total of zero dollars for his time. How crazy is that?? A month later, I encountered an issue with another laptop which could not power on for some reason. Once again, he tested the laptop and quickly determined that it was a motherboard problem, then advised me that it was not worth it to replace this part as the laptop was too slow. No fee was charged for his diagnosis either. Finally, I had an issue with a third laptop which he diagnosed to be a HDD failure. He quoted me a reasonable price for his repair cost and 512GB SSD replacement, which naturally I was more than happy to pay. In addition, he also helped me transfer over an existing SSD from another computer which had completely failed to my new system, at no further charge. At every step of the process, he also explained to me what he was doing and how I could do so on my own in the future. TLDR, in my opinion, Wilson is the rare combination of not only being a very competent IT technician but a trustworthy and honest person as well. If I have any issues with my computers in the future there's no question who I'll look for. Highly recommended.

My Dell laptop start button was jammed and could not start. I called Dell Service and they said it will take them one to two weeks to process the order for a new start button board, and then send a technician to my home to replace it. I didn't use Dell because I couldn't wait for so long to access my laptop and moreover, I think the start button only need to be repaired and not replaced. So I googled for PC repair. I managed to find two PC repair shops. I went to Weng Cheong Com-Tech at Bishan Block 503 because it's just 5 minutes walk from Bishan MRT and the nearest to me. I met Wilson, the owner, who's the only person inside the shop and told him I spoke to him earlier about my start button issue. He took my laptop and started testing the start button. When he realized it really didn't work, he started to dismantle the components, i. e. back casing, keyboard, hard disk, etc. He did further testings and finally the start button worked but when he put the components back, the start button didn't work again. Then he took the components out again and applied a hard glue somewhere near the start switch and it finally worked. He also taught me how to press the start button and then power off again. He asked me to do it twice to ensure that I won't have trouble starting it at home. Altogether, he spent almost an hour and a half repairing my laptop while reinstalling another PC in the background. The time spent there actually passed very fast for me as it was an interesting experience to watch him servicing my laptop throughout the time I was there and even having a nice chat with him. I could see he's very skilled and detailed in opening my laptop, taking out most of the components for testing to find the fault. He didn't take the easy way out of replacing. I was so elated with my working laptop. Now I know who to go to if I've problems with my laptop or other electronic gadgets. Wilson also gave me a discount on his service fee and the cost is only a fraction of the replacement. I strongly recommend that if you've PC problem to go to him. I've already passed his contact to my relatives and my friends. A friend called me immediately to ask if he can go to their office to repair but he's not able to as he's the owner and only one to man the shop so just bring your PC to him and watch him at work. You'll not regret it. Thank you so much Wilson for your help. You've made my day! :)

Very sweet uncle, he checked out my laptop and told me what the problem could be, I had to go back to the original vendor I had the battery replaced by. There was no charge and he was very thorough. Thank you!

Wilson is very approachable, helpful and prompt in replacing my old hard drive and upgrading the OS of my 13 year IMAC. I am very happy and satisfied with his service. Prior to this, I sent to my computer to a repair shop in Tannery Lane. Service was poor, I had to call them a few times to find out what was going on. Their quote was 2 and 1/2 times what Wilson eventually quoted. For their price, I could have bought a fully refurbished Imac with warranty.

Really desperate when my USB broke in my bag over CNY hols. So glad that they're open today. Wilson initially called to say my USB data could not be recovered. Was on my way to retrieve it when he called me to come in later as it was suddenly responsive. So thankful that he persisted at it. I had work submissions and I'm just so grateful. He told me the price upfront and it is affordable. Appreciate the professionalism in informing the price beforehand, persisting at solving the issue and calling back to inform.

Friendly and kind owner who delivered what he promised. Very responsive and recommended a replacement model/brand based on my current model. I needed a quick turn around time due to pandemic WFH situation as my CPU couldn't turn on. Relieved that I came across his shop and got my new device the next day upon confirming the purchase.
