β β β β β For the size of the hawker Centre, I expected more options. There are probably 6-8 yummy stores there and thr queues are insane. I always find myself looking for stuff to eat.

β β β β β Went to dabao from Hup Seng Heng Vegetarian as due to Phase 2 heightened alert, we are not allowed to dine in.
Food is awesome as always and still looks and great and tasted just as awesome when I got back.
Very cozy food for this rainy season. Will be back!
The store is the first row facing the road, first unit of the left near the community centre/carpark gantry side

β β β β β This ba chor mee packs a punch. Fragrant chilli and fresh crispy lard. A Special mention to the fishball, it's so tender and bouncy. One of the best i've ever eaten. This stall is man by a young friendly lad, he takes pride in the food that he cooks. After my meal, he walks over and ask is the noodles good and up to my expectation. This stall faces the main road right infront of the bus stop. Do support our local hawkers if you are around the vicinity. Ample parking space at the hawker centre itself and neighbouring HDB blocks.

β β β β β Ever forgotten to clear your table after happily finishing your meal here nowadays? In today's context, there is potentially a fine for not clearing your table. This West Coast Square Food Centre thought through this issue and resolved it as soon as the law kicked in. It's human to overlook unintentionally, especially not having been required to do so since the start of our hawker food culture.
The solution - a video reminder in English and Chinese, that is prominently hung overhead, in colourful letters, and running in loops. Everyone entering to centre sees it. Thanks NEA.

β β β β β A hub of very good hawker stalls with the food court fully packed every weekend; the long queues for the local favourites are a testament of its popularity.
For breakfast, the best stalls are:
1) Gu Ji Fried Carrot Cake
2) He Ji Braised Duck Rice
3) Ming Kee Porridge
4) Sheng Huat Prawn Noodles
Surprisingly, could not find a Nasi Lemak stall, which is a staple for all Hawker centres especially in mornings.

β β β β β If you had to decide on a wet market to visit in the west coast or clementi vicinity, it may not be this.
Why?
Setting is dark and low lighting gives a rather unappetising and dull feel. But with the CNY decoration, it is still nice with as a smiling God of Wealth surrounds you while you are having your meal.
Food
Not many selections at the food centre and most food are just fair or average. Truly nothing to rave about.
What to eat?
Most people will make a beeline for the teochew braised duck stall orthe vegetarian stall. Another more popular place will be the mee pok stall right up front.
All in all, you are better off at clementi food centre than this place.
