I was really skeptical at first because of all the negative reviews that say the shop lady is rude. But my experience was amazing. I was looking for yarn for my project but wasn’t sure what kind of yarn or colours I was looking for. The shopkeeper kindly helped me choose the yarn type and complementary colours. She was very patient and sweet. My project is turning out to be great. Thanks for the help!

Absolutely terrible. I wanted to learn crocheting so that I could make a pig amigurumi for my friend's birthday. But I'm a newbie so I asked for her recommendations. I showed her the video tutorial I was following and she recommend accordingly. So, I ended up getting a 2.5mm-3.5mm yarn, 2.0mm hook and 5mm safety eyes. I trusted her recommendations as she was a professional - big mistake. When I tried to crochet, I realized that the hook couldn't grab the yarn, it was simply too small. As a result, my father called up the store to ask to exchange for a larger hook. She refused saying that an exchange wasn't possible as I've already opened it. She said I simply didn't know how to do it and that it was possible, thus offered to demonstrate for me. But here's the thing, it's not impossible, yes, but extremely difficult, especially for a beginner. Her being a professional, she would obviously be able to do it. She also had a rather nasty attitude. She was extremely impatient and seemed unhappy for whatever reason, aggressive when asking what I wanted and explaining. The crochet hook was $10.90, quite pricey considering you could get it for a dollar online but that's besides the point. Youd expect good after sales service because of how much it costs but nope, not the case. Im fairly upset considering the time and money I had to spend on this and how I won't be able to gift my friend a pig arigurumi as there wasn't enough time left. She should've taken responsibility for her recommendations instead of pushing the blame onto me, a novice. The hook is still in its original packaging and looks as good as new, exchanging it isn't a huge sacrifice nor is it difficult to do. Don't waste your energy, buy somewhere else.

I learnt crochet with Angela and it was great, she is really friendly and helpful. The store has a lot of products that you can buy to make your own projects. I did learn since a year and I feel really confortable to do it on my own. Thanks again Angela for your help!

First off, we were so excited to bring our Mum who is an avid knitter. We were in high spirits as we reached, upon entering we saw that their rule was to allow only 2 at a time to enter, and to remove shoes. As we entered, we were looking around to get a sense of the shop. She abruptly asked us what we were looking for so she can find it for us. We were taken aback at her tone, it was like we were not welcome to browse and look around, and she seemed irritated that people showed up at her shop. She was short and curt, and just unpleasant. So disappointed. For sure not coming back to this shop again. Such a bad experience.

A very knowledgeable teacher! One who is down to earth and makes her classes super interesting once you get to know her. I only took one session to know the basics of knitting from zero knowledge. Highly recommended! Her cosy shop has so many interesting yarns and other handicrafts DIY kits too. It’s a must visit if you want to find unique handicraft items for your project..in my view, it’s much better than Spotlight!
