WOK HEY Hougang Mall - 90 Hougang Avenue 10 01-40 Hougang Mall

This is the best wokhey outlet in SG I’ve tried, hands down. Taste is very consistent and service is good — they also note special requests such as less oil and salt etc, unlike some of the other outlets. Will keep coming here :)

Food is good but waiting time at this Wok Hey branch is longer than other branches. Usually 20 to 30min during dinner time.

The picture taken was when I started ordering, it shows 10-20mins wait, but actual wait was 40mins (yes! 2x!)! Looking at prior reviews also reflected slowness in its service, so do be aware of the long invisible queue :(after 20mins in the queue they changed the label to 30-40 mins wait, so I pity those who ordered after, perhaps 1hr wait. Would appreciate if the wait time label is more accurate. However, food wise it's still yummy and with reasonable quality, had the shanghai fried rice with grilled chicken ?but the unexpected long wait can definitely be looked at and improved.

The crew was really slow on preparing my food. I had to wait 2x the estimated time (10-20mins, collected at 43 mins later). I really wished that they could put up to the real time instead.

Very bad experience i ask for my food the counter guy say your number haven ready. So he show me the digital number is 244 and mind 246 ok find i wait infront wait n wait number start to jump 247 and 248. I see he just put at the counter my food by just writing the number on the plastic bag. Y he did not press the 246 number?? Try to show me his attituted? I cant ask anything which make him trigger? I ask him in very polite way bro is my food ready? Bcs i when inside hougang mall. Management can see your cctv im wearing blue shirt waiting infront of the shop near mac donald glass pannel. Can just press up my number and some of the people number he can shout but mind he purposely write n just put. This staff need to educate him he not happy to serve customer dont work please wok hey management educate yr guy. 25/04/22 time of my order 5.46pm more then 40min i stand there for nothing while the waiting time given by wok hey 10 to 20min. Just bcs of one attitute guy i have to wait longer waiting time.

Spent $18 on 2 boxes of fried rice. The veggie not even properly cooked!

Ordered the egg fried rice with chicken, the food tasted good and I felt the price was just right for its worth. The lady at the counter took my order with a nice attitude. My order took around 10 minutes so waiting time was not so bad. I will admit I actually like the packaging of the food as it reminds me of American Chinese style takeout boxes and is quite portable and nice. ?
