If you think crystal jade / paradise inn / chai chee porridge is good? Wait till you try this Wong Porridge. You will never ever touch any other porridge after this. The Porridge is thick and incredibly tasty.
The Pork porridge (My personal fav) contains, pork live, pork meat balls, pork slices and the usual spring onions and condiments. After trying it for the first time, IM HOOKED. I have been buying porridge here everyday before work.
Amazing amazing food store. If you ask me they deserve a michelin star. Its REALLY that good!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite porridge stall in Bedok. Smooth, silky porridge, Hainanese style. I ordered the mixed pork porridge, loaded with minced pork ball, pig’s liver, lean pork slices and a fresh egg. Minus one star for saltiness - too salty today!
Bought freshly made you tiao from another stall in the same hawker center. Perfect companion to the porridge!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old school home cooked Hainanese chok- smooth, topped with oil, shallot, spring onion. Porridge hack- I order a side of Hainanese poached chicken from 2 stalls next to it, and it becomes Hainanese poached chicken porridge! Absolutely comforting when eaten that way - silky smooth chicken, silky smooth congee. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very decent stall overall. Ingredients all appear to fused into the porridge - the way I like it. Only drawback I found was the level of sodium .... way too salty for my liking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally caught them open again. Good pork porridge, lots of ingredients and comes with pork liver too! No operating hours shown but the staff claim they start as early as 6am and usually sell out by lunch time

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Is it me or has anyone noticed the standard has dropped?
Staff taking my order apologised for not listening when taking my order and wronly gave me a bowl of pork porridge when I ordered fish. The small portion ($4) consisted of almost half a bowl of porridge and 4 small pieces of catfish fillet, not the usual type of fish. Too much pepper was added by default.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This porridge stall has been around for more than 40 years. And if you ask whether the porridge is nice, let the long queue say it all ??
Every morning, many helpers & elderly will come with their own tingkat to queue and buy porridge from this stall.
They dun have many varieties, just 4 types ie Pork, Sliced Chicken, Pigeon Egg with Pork & Sliced Fish Porridge. Among the four, Pork Porridge is my favorite :-)
Give it a try if you happen to be around Bedok South next time :-)
