★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very different style of claypot rice...more for quick bite type (like lunch time)...lack claypot “wok-hei” espy., missing that thick dark soya sauce mix into lightly favoured cooked rice & ingredients of local version.
Steams soup mixed result...西洋菜was blend, but 莲藕肉骨was nicely balanced.
Hope to try 梅菜扣肉砂锅饭 looks unique.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Update: quality has suffered, chicken no longer fragrant, quantity of both rice & chicken has reduced and now saltier.
Previously: Generous portions, chicken is tender and well marinated but keep a lookout for bone chips.
Their sides and set meals can be a little bit expensive.
Overall it's nicer even when compared to the one at Holland Drive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good claypot chicken rice. Better than Singaporean style where everything tastes sweet. With Woongkee, the chicken and other ingredients were allowed to shine through, thus making its flavour profile quite complex. Have it with the watercress soup too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst porridge I’ve ever eaten, it’s tasteless. Served in a large clay pot making it terribly hard to consume, even soy sauce can’t save this. The century egg was tasteless too, the minced pork almost non existent. I came during lunch so there’s no way he was too busy to make a proper pot!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate this for two days in a row. the taste is very consistent. Tastes just like those i ate in Ipoh, decent amount of chicken, sausage and a generous amount of salted fish. i love the slightly burnt crispy bits at the bottom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is $15 for a 2 pax portion. It is enough for 3
ladies. Charred base as per normal for the dish. The sides were crispy. The portion of Chinese sausage was generous. Chicken was tender. The salted fish comes in a lump aka Malaysian style so we divided that to mash into the rice. The stall owner could be a bit more friendly :) (sorry, ate it all up before the pics but wanted to show the char level was fine)
