Wet slurpy HKM with light seafood flavour, fresh prawns, squid and delicious lime (calamansi). Chilli has a nice sharp kick, and is the sweet and sour kind not the sambal kind. The mini bits of garlic in the broth add flavour and texture as well. Maybe not the flavour everyone is used to, but a very delicious plate if you can accept a different approach to HKM.

Best fried hokkien mee! Recommend for everyone to try. Get the regular size portion as the small portion is not as satisfying.

Still one of the best fried prawn noodle in town. Broth used is delicious. Call to order in advance (40min to 1 hour wait is normal during peak period and min is 3 packs if call to order). The lady is a very good "industrial engineer" her estimation of wait time is almost correct every time ! Brought 2 packets all the way to Punggol and still taste super after 2 hours.

Quite a well known and popular stall for years. Be prepared to queue for at least 30mins. The absence of a queue is because they issue the buzzer so you won't see a line forming at the stall. No complains about noodles. The chilli however is not the standard thick paste with anchovies. Instead it is a watery and slightly sour concoction instead. Would have prefered the former if available as it adds to the umami.

Came by at lunch hour and it must be my lucky day! Empty coffeeshop and a 10 minute wait for my 'pager' to go off. I do see many bags prepacked takeaway sitting on the table, with no one in sight. The large portion at $5 felt a little pricey. Noodle spread thinly over a shallow plate. 3 medium size prawns, 4 slices of squid, 5 specks of lard and 6 silver of pork belly. Though there is still the option for extra ingredients at an additional $2. Mopped everything up in 12 spoonful. Watery belacan chilli packs quite a punch. Makes incorporating into the HKM much easier and quicker. Taste quite good. Nice stock. Definitely trumps many of your run of the mill average HKM. Will help if it had wok hei. Will come back only if ever happen to be in the area.

Update 21 Nov 2021:- Quite a difference today. I personally think it’s not worth the wait anymore and portion for $4 is way too small. So went for part 2 lunch nearby at ‘The hawker fam’. Lol. Flavourful plate of Hokkien mee with nice chilli sauce. Will want to visit again.

Taste was soso. Chili nice. Portion was small. Dunno if come again. Feel reviews are a bit overrated or maybe the quality isn’t consistent. Still hungry liao. Go for part 2 for lunch. Lol.

Noticed this stall quite some time back when I came to this coffeeshop for the very popular chicken rice stall. Noticed many people order this fried prawn noodle other than the chicken rice. Happened to be around the vicinity and decided to drop by to try their noodle. There wasn’t any queue however I noticed empty plates near the stove which means that there are many orders ahead of me. Prices of the fried hokkien mee starts from SGD$4.50 to SGD$5.50. If I am not wrong, there was an increase of SGD$0.50. Paid and was given a buzzer as it was self-service. Waited for almost 20mins before my food was ready. My plate of fried hokkien mee came with squid and prawn since I requested to omit the slice pork belly. Noodle was nicely fried, there is a slight hint of wok hei. It was flavorful and on the sweet side for me. Portion is relatively small and comes with only 2 prawns.
