My doctor advised me to lose weight as my blood sugar level is in the pre diabetic range. Out of health concern, I decided to start to exercise after so many years. However, on my first exercise, I over stretched my right thigh and can felt the muscle pulled very tight. A friend of mine suggested me to go to Xin Hua TCM therapy at 100 Tras Street for treatment. I did searched for the reviews on Xin Hua from goggle There were good and bad reviews from the past. After weighing that there are more good reviews than the negative ones, I decided to call them for an appointment. Upon arrival there, I told them about my pulled muscles problem and advised me to have a 1.5 hours of massage to relax the tension and not to exercise till I fully recovered. The masseuse who was allocated to me was by the name of Helen. Although she speak in Mandarin, she can understand some simple English. She always asked me do I feel comfortable on the pressure she pressed on my muscles. That really give me the assurance that she is a caring and responsive masseuse. Throughout the 1.5 hours, my pulled muscle was so painfully at the inception and it did relaxed under her experience fingers. At the end of the session, I told her that my right shoulder was tight too. Though the time is up, she still help me to relieve the tension for another 5 minutes. After resting for another 2 days, my pain was gone after the massage and I resume my weight lose goal. I will like to share my positive experience with Xin Hua TCM Therapy and Helen, the masseuse, who treated me patiently with care. A strongly recommended Xin Hua TCM Therapy.

While I enjoy what they offer, I really do not like that they always try and upsell you etc. I can't even enjoy a massage in peace without them trying to add a few other items in during the duration. I get that they're trying to make money but it gets to the point that it's so annoying that I don't know how else to tell them to just let me be, and if I want to add on I will simply let them know.

Dr Teo (张医师) did an excellent treatment for my lower back issue. He is knowledgeable, patience and understanding. The service at Xin Hua is good, overall a great experience doing my TCM treatments there.

I was having acid reflux for about 1 year. Normally when The attack came the uncomfortable and slight pain at stomach will last for about 6-7 hour . I did my endoscopy and colonoscopy as recommended by Dr and nothing detected . Recommended by a friend to consult the TCM dr at Xin hua and I had 10 sessions of acupuncture and herbs . I was recovered after 2 months of treatments. I am really gladful to Xin Hua TCM . One thing for sure they are not the cheapest but every needle that pierced deep in my body and those herbs really works .

This shop tried to maximize their earning when you visit. They tried to provide different items to charge you. I was to do acupuncture which suppose to be $60 but finally ended up paying $187. I don’t mean they abuse but they keep pushing unnecessary items. To cut the story short, I feel like they prepare you not to go back and want to earn as much as they could of your visit.

worse place i have ever been too. a nightmare. feel worse after their treatments. use extreme methods without warning that bruises will last for weeks on my neck that cannot be covered by clothing.

Penny is a great masseur that possess great Chinese medical knowledge. I went to visit her to treat my back and hip. I was very impressed and i strongly recommend everyone to experience.

No evaluation done by staff on what type of massage is suitable. Ended up with abrasions and skin tear after massage, painful until cried Front office staff does not communicate to masseuse too, collecting payment was a mess as well. Not recommended, rather go the more established places instead
