Happened to passed by and saw this shop tucked in a corner . Tried the $5 bowl and the result is not as close to the old airport that i have tried . Ingredient given not as generous , still there is room for improvement ! I am giving a 3.5 rating . Anyway will come to try again in the near future and hope they can improve...

Offshoot from Old Airport road. I give 3.5 stars. Large Lor Mee $7 but ingredients is only 2/3 of original stall. The one at OldAirportRoad ingredients packed to brim. Gravy almost same but a bit dilute. Must order first then queue. (Same long queue)

This famous lor mee from old airport road market opened at Tampines some two weeks ago. There was no queue and so we had it. My friend opted for the normal bowl at $5 while I took the large one at $7. It’s a tad expensive for coffeeshop fare. I normally like thick bee hoon, but sadly they don’t offer it. There’s a lot of fried fish and pork belly, so fortunately the coriander and bean sprouts helped balance the taste to prevent any cloying feeling. Would I have it again? Yes, I won’t mind, but only if there’s no queue.

I had heard good reviews at the old airport road outlet and was looking forward to try the Lor Mee for the very first time. Unfortunately it didn’t wow me esp with the portion and price which I found not value for money. 2 options of $5 & $7 per bowl. Any add on is between 50cents and $1.50 which are very clearly listed and emphasised. I ordered $5 with fish flakes add on total $6.50. Portion was small and wasn’t enough for me. Sauce was savoury but tasted a tad too sweet. The Q system can be better improved. After paying, had to step aside to wait for receipt number to be called. Perhaps owner can install a Q display or a paging system to inform people that order is ready. Cashier had to raise her voice to call out the Q number. I am sure by the end of the day, she may have strained her throat. Feel sorry for her. I will unlikely make a special visit to patronise again despite it being 2 bus stops away from my residence. It didn’t wow me especially when the neighbouring stalls are selling their food at a more affordable and value for money prices. Nonetheless I hope the owners can continue the legacy of the brand and retain the standards.

Definitely not comparable to the original at Old Airport Rd Food Centre, which I had patronised since the 80s. Ordered the small bowl at $5 & added extra dried fish for $1.50. If I hadn’t add the extra fish, I think the ingredients are miserable. Only the 2 halve eggs & bean sprouts are visible with few pcs of braised pork. I would rather queue for the original at old airport road.

Price of Lor Mee and add on reasonable for coffee shop: $5 or $7. Gravy & noodle: Yup still good. But still cannot compare to the big generous portion at old airport road. People give lousy star might be due to hard to find parking > long queue > small portion > lousy workflow(staff not well-prepared)

We have been on the lookout for a bowl of satisfying Lorh Mee for awhile before we found this hidden gem ?… Old Airport Road Xin Mei Xiang Zheng Zong Lorh Mee, hidden at one corner in Coffee Shop located Tampines Street 41. They comes in 2 size $5/$7 with the flexibility to adjust the amount of garlic and vinegar. The gravy is thick and doesn’t turn watery even until our very last mouth. I would say a it comes with a generous amount of fish flakes, braised pork, braised egg, beansprouts, parleys and a spoonful of homemade chilli. You can also top up for the particular sides you are fancy with.

Haven't tried the main branch yet but this is one of the stalls that specialist in Lor Mee so won't be that bad. Overall pretty delicious. Suggest trying the $7 and add the prawn roll at $1.50. For the $5 ones you won't see much of ingredients inside and will feel abit disappointed. Overall abit pricey probably due to the Michelin 'status' therefore give it a 4 out of 5.
