Just had an unpleasant encounter with your kopi 头手 Samuel in White Sands. A fly went into my cup of kopi swimming alive inside and I asked for an exchange. He started to grumble and said if everyone like me the boss of Yakun will go bust. So I replied him, this means something need to be done with the area's hygiene and this also implied that many people have same encounter as me. I also asked him "should I just drink it then"? He kept quiet. After I got my new coffee n went back to my seat, my daughter found an unknown bug crawling in her soft-boiled eggs. In the first place how come there are flies n bugs in a shopping center cafe. Something must be wrong with this shop's hygiene. Very disappointed although just a small encounter as i didnt expect such rude reply from the staff. I think this will be my last visit. Anyway, your shop won't go busted with one less customer.

I was at yakun today, spilled my coffee on the floor. Literally dropped it. Thanh was so kind, as he quickly rushed to the spot n cleaned up the mess even without a negative look on her face. She is a real good asset for the company. GOD bless her always

Was waiting for my drinks at the counter with my tray, it took a while, was chill about it. When another customer ordered and waited for her drink i moved my tray further in to make room for her tray. Suddenly the person making the drink started to be angry and scolded me as to why i moved in as he claimed it made him confuse to the drink sequence or some sort. Which im sure you're not. Its a simple two current orders. If there's an instruction prior to that of course I'd follow. Well no one gave me any instructions. And I swear he cursed right under his nose "cb" while i moved off with my drinks. No energy to reply to such immaturity. Drink person is a chinese male, with tattoo on his arms, starts with the letter 'S'

Teh C was not very good. Too much evaporated milk. [Review again in Nov 21 after its renovation.] Crew seem to have changed. Its kitchen also became smaller with lesser variety. Nothing wrong, except the standard of food hardly improve. Coffee and tea not quite consistent. Sometimes very sweet. The crew also appear very burden with handling Grab orders. There were numerous empty seats and a long queue (a rare sight in Covid-19 times) with the casher taking quite some time to take orders from those in queue as he seemingly keep rushing with online orders. It probably does not help when those delivery personnel arrived expecting to get their orders immediately. The seating arrangement was good though, optimised to deal with the covid-19 restrictions.

The White Sand outlet is just renovated recently. Spacious and brightly lighted. Food taste good. Weekends tend to be crowded but no problem getting a seat. Be prepared to wait a while though.

Have been coming regularly for a few years. Recently we are given plastic spoons which are dirty. Today at 8.35am approx, the cashier served me eggs without asking me what sauce I wanted. She was busy engaging the patron before me. Esp when that patron wanted to add one more set of eggs. Ii was thinking How would I know the eggs are for me? So I told her my request for the type of sauce but she still got it wrong. End up she was complaining to the patron in mandarin thinking that I dun understand. Really very poor service. Getting worse already.

Underwhelming experience. When my drink was served it was filled to the brim, ready to spill anytime. By the time I reached my table, I already spilled a bit on the tray. Worst still, I had to wait for a solid 15mins to receive the rest of my order while the other customers already got their orders. In the end they literally forgot to pass me my half boiled eggs, until another customer helped me to remind the crew in mandarin. Highly would not recommend this outlet of Ya Kun Kaya Toast to anyone for their bad customer service!

My usual order is kaya french toast and the amount of kaya for takeaway is pathetic (barely 1/4 of the sauce container depth), so I always request for more kaya. The staff used to add kaya free of charge (1-2 teaspoon) and I find it sufficient to dip my french toast. Now they charge $1 for additional kaya. I understand that kaya is their signature but please look into reasonable serving size.
