★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure why the rating is so high? It is honestly mediocre. There are so many other hokkein mee stall which is better. Aside from the texture of the mee, the taste was bland and no wok hei. Uncle was also really RUDE when I enquired how long the waiting time for the food will be. Obviously, asking becos I had time constraints. Would have appreciated if he could simply reply with I do not know how long or there are how many ppl in front of you. Instead, he went on to say you need to queue.
I mean, obviously I know that there is a queue that is why I am asking right? It did not end there. When it was my turn (took less than 5min), he gestured and asked me whether I am still purchasing or not. Then went on to ramble abt how busy he is and how I wasn't in the 'queue' (which did not exist becos nobody was queuing). I was in sight like everyone else. Honestly, if not for the auntie I would never have proceeded with the order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Above average dry style Hokkien Mee with generous serving of crispy pork lard. The bee hoon is in between the usual thin and thick types, which give a good bite. I saw uncle added in pork belly slices but could find them in my plate? Probably the way the noodles are portioned out. Only thing I didn't like is the scrapped charred egg pieces.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The stall uses a mix of yellow noodle and thin bee hoon that has been fried to a slight char evident by the specks of black dots on them. This plate of Hokkien Mee is not the saucy kind with runaway sauces but the noodle has absorbed the broth it was simmered in, making it deliciously moist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This uncle was a building contractor who started frying hokkien mee since 15++years ago..his chilli sauce is home made. He fries hokkien mee with lard oil n boiled prawn broth that gives u the super exceptional flavorful hokkien prawn mee like no others.. the best I ever tasted. I keep going back every month n even pack for family every time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very glad that uncle is still frying during P2HA for tarpow. Perhaps stewing the Hokkien Mee in the takeaway packet enhances the flavour. Overall an excellent Hokkien Mee with wok hei flavour and slightly dryer style with thin bee hoon rather than the wetter style with thick bee hoon. Definitely worth a try for Hokkien Mee fans. At the end of the day, everyone will decide on your own favourite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fried hokkien or sotong (squid) mee in its traditional and simple form. For me, the form is just perfectly balanced between wet and dry. Comes with standard hokkien mee ingredients of sotong, prawns and pork. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pork probably due to my small $4 plate being fried with several other plates and the scoop up missed the pork bits. For $4, you get 2 to 3 pieces of sotong and 2 shrimps. The highlight for me is the perfectly fried noodles texture and its flavourful soup base.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came to try this fried hokkien noodle after hearing many good reviews. This fried hokkien mee is in the same coffeeshop as the very popular stall selling kueh. Queue wasnt long, about 2 to 3 pax before me. Price for the fried hokkien mee starts from SGD$4 onwards.
The plate of fried hokkien mee comes with squids, small prawns and sliced pork belly. Portion for the Smallest is actually quite generous. Taste wise, flavourful but the noodle was slightly overcooked. Seafood tasted fresh but the prawns were kinda tiny.
Overall, i personally think its not bad. Would be better if the prawns were slightly bigger.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the very few Hokkien Mee stalls in Singapore using traditional charcoal to fry. Probably only 2 or 2, with this stall belonging to one of them.
It is very sad to note that by the end of 31 Jul 2022, this stall will finally call it a day. Uncle is officially retiring.
Please come to support and be part of the history. Many old icons after the pandemic are continuously closing down.
Definitely a 5 STARS Ratings ✨️ !!!
