★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zero integrity,caught overcharging and bad food!
I would give a negative rating if I could.
Went to buy dinner and they used the calculator and told us $40.80. We paid accordingly and while waiting, we did our own breakdown and it was just $39.80. They told us it was packaging and when we got our food, we only had one plastic box. Even our fried rice was wrapped in aluminum foil, which was odd. We asked again and she got nervous and remarked that aluminum foil is more expensive than the plastic boxes. We knew we were ripped off and it was disappointing to know that the shop we patronized several times in a year had probably overcharged us all this while. Back home, the food was horrible. Stingray was soggy and the honey ribs was less than average. Fried rice which is $8 is average at best. This picture is taken at 6pm and just explains the low rating and goes to show how bad the standards have dropped. Take into consideration their integrity issues with overcharging and I’m sorry it’s not worth anyone’s time and efforts to even go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well worth it. The price is reasonable and the food is definitely restaurant grade. I enjoyed the stingray. The salty egg with pork rib is not bad the rib is so so but the sauce is amazing. The rest are good just not fantastic. Place is a bit hot so wear your flip flops

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nov 2020. It was quite a long wait. We ordered hor-fun, chilli cray fish, prawn paste chicken wing, chilli stingray and baby kailan. Although this was a food centre setting, i have to comment on their excellent service. They didn't get all our details correct and they got a new one for us without a frown and questions asked.
On the tongue, the dishes were clinical with a special mention on their stingray. It was fresh and the chilli was really spicy. It had been in every patron's order list.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First visit here, the BBQ stingray, fried 油麦 (vegetables) and prawn rolls are worth every calorie ‘cos they taste so damn good. Yes the dishes (stingray) is slightly more expensive for the portion but imho still worth paying. Would defo revisit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the Sambang kangkong was a total disappointment. it has a thick layer of oil and the kangkong was way too spicy and overcooked. food wasted. prawn paste chicken smelled very nice but tasted mediocre on the salty side. quality from this stall has deteriorated a lot

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A long established eatery in the hawker centre. There's quite a fair bit of customers both dining and takeaways. The human traffic and history should suggest good food. I see it as having a loyal customer base who appreciate and grew attached to the food despite of price increases over the years. I ordered 2 dishes which tasted good but as others mentioned were expensive compared with other stalls within the hawker centre. Not for diners who are price sensitive. Nonetheless, there's no surprises if you ask for their menu which has prices clearly shown and they do give a quote for seasonal fresh seafood.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On the slightly pricier end for Zi Char and BBQ stingray. Tastes okay. I personally like the prawn paste chicken. Sambal stingray was soggy and slightly slimy. Quite unappetizing.
Prepare for a long wait as there’s usually a snaking queue.
(Heard about the overcharging from my parents, beware my fellow food lovers!)
