★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yi En Vegetarian is 1 of the 2 vegetarian stalls at interim market next to Telok Ayer MRT. They will be shifting back to former Golden Shoe premise in April, #03-29.
They do not have many selections and deep fried stuff which we all enjoy. But don’t walk away from the simple dishes. They are Good! I enjoyed the olive fried rice and hokkien mee cooked on the spot. You need to be patient. Other dishes must try is ”豆包” (my fave) and generally the vegetable dishes. The dishes are different everyday so you will not be bored. I’m mot a vegetarian though but always enjoy food that feels home-cooked. Next to this is a drink stall, my daily coffee fix when I’m in office for >10yr. Give it a try.
