Overrated hokkien mee Super long Q, waited 45 mins. Sambal - sweet, and serve with hair Prawn and squid - blend, tasteless, no stir fried fragrance Hokkien Mee - TBH my grandpa can cook better than you. Pork lard - the pork lard had container sell. Not sure if they kept into the container while the pork lard is hot? Or the container smell too strong, which feel like chewing pork lard with plastic aroma. ? Damage $6 Will we be back? Nope for sure. But I am sure there are this stall lover. As there are at even at 830pm. Which surprised us..

This used to be my go to place for fried hokkien mee. For as long as I could remember, this used to be really good. The queue would be at least 30-45 minutes long and the wait was always worth it. It has been at least 2 years since I last visited and the young man taking the orders is still the same guy but there's a different uncle frying the hokkien mee now. Can't say I was disappointed when the plate was served within 5 minutes of ordering but I soon realised why this was so. Standards have dropped significantly and it's such a shame. The claypot curry chicken beside is really good though.

The prawn mee is not bad. Just the right saltiness. The one served to me look liked it was taken from a pre-cooked large batch of noodles. I still prefer one that is prepared on-the-spot when ordered, and served right out of the wok. One thing I like though is the free-serving of fried crispy pork lard.

I dont know if it had really lost its touch but I really believe it can be better. Not very balanced in terms of the sweetness, probably too much sugar and MSG. For $4.50 due to increasing food price, its reasonable compared to shopping mall food court in terms of the portion. May just push it to 3.5 stars if the noodle have a little more texture.
