Carrot cake probably homemade, saw strips of carrots embedded in carrot cake. Hubby likes the white version whereas I prefer the black with the caramelised charred bits.

I decided to write this review as I have been patronising this store for years. I also wonder why I didn’t write a review for this store in the past. This store is run by a Teochew old couple. They sell fried soon kueh and red rice kueh as well. There is always queue in front of the store. The carrot cake especially the white one is very flavourful with lots of garlic and Chye Poh. The use of fish sauce makes it even better. The store only opens on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. If you are around Bendemeer, do come to try this authentic Teochew carrot cake. I promise you will not regret. Make sure you come early as it is sold out by around 12pm to 1pm.

There is always a line during breakfast or lunch. Must try here is their fried carrot cake that is soft in texture but even more so their other cakes/kway. Peng kway and shun kway can be found in many places but thrust store they fry them again with egg and other ingredients. Very traditional way of eating that few stalls still do so. Gives a different layer of taste to the already very nice kways. They also have orh nee (yam paste dessert) for less than $3 here!

An old couple runs the stall, fried whatever so with adding a Fragrant egg. Is a nice plate of mixed png kueh, soon kueh and guchai kueh.

Carrot cake is decent. Highlight is the png kueh and soon kueh. Can choose to have it fried by them too. Their style is fried like carrot cake kind of taste w chilli, not the fry till crispy skin type. Bought extra png kueh and soon kueh home to steam/fry next few days. Better then Yong's.

Fried Soon Kueh simply the best. Can throw in png kueh or chives Kueh as well. Auntie will chop up the soon Kueh and fry it like carrot cake. Each serving approx 3 kuehs worth, which is not enough so feel free to upsize. Not open on mon/wed/Fri!

The carrot cakes sell by Yong Xiang Carrot Cake stall owner is well fried, crispy on the outside and when you take a bite into their carrot cake, its full of the freshness of the white radish. Together with the egg and their very special and spicy chilli that's been used to cook the carrot cake, it makes a well cooked, very very delicious carrot cakes. There are many fried carrot cakes stalls in hawker centres located in different locations. But to find one that serve really well fried carrot cakes is after all not easy. Thumbs up for the fried carrot cakes of this stall.??????
