Good personal friendly service, went there for the guest chef Ratha menu, excellent food, we had the beef cheek, duck confit, baked brie salad, French onion soup & chocolate cake.

Seasonal chef by R. Rathakrishnan who was the former owner and chef of his infamous Black Sheep Cafe in Sin Min, the food standard and quite is top and valued for money, no disappointment at all.

Good ambience. Had the special guest chef Ratha set twice. Complimentary mocktails was good. French onion soup with cheese crouton was soso. Baked brie in pistachio crust with pomelo citrus salad , Wagyu beef cheeks in truffle scented red wine sauce with gratin potato, Braised lamb shank in red wine, apricots with mashed potato & seasonal vegetables and Flourless dark chocolate cake with raspberry coulis & vanilla bean ice cream were yummy. However. The second visit was the second last day of the event and the beef cheeks were a bit salty.

Went to Cafe Lodge for Chef Ratha's dinner. Previously I was already a fan of Black Sheep restaurant, which closed just last year. So it was a very pleasant surprise to see Chef Ratha coming out of retirement and doing this series of dinners! French onion soup, lamb shank and chocolate cake were fantastic! Also added on a soufflé as a second dessert. Absolutely love love love his soufflé! Dinner is slowly paced so it was really nice to chat with my friend over a long dinner. Service was fantastic as well! Really warm and attentive! Since he is extending his dinners, will see if I can make it back for another round!

We had our "Thanksgiving" meal there. Right from the start the staff greeted us in such a friendly manner, which made us feel at home. Salad we started with head just the right amount of sauce to give it more flavor but then the mix of ingredients was very special. Then we had the pumpkin soup and a berry roll. They were quick to give us butter and olive oil when we asked. I had the baked in paper seabass, juicy, tasty with herbs and tomatoes. Then for dessert was a very special sticky date pudding with vanilla sauce a perfect combination. Includes ice cream too.

Nice service and got plenty different western and local dishes to choose from. Was pleasantly surprised at getting a whole coconut when ordered coconut juice! Felt like on a vacation! And the restaurant ain't too crowded, good for chats with friends. The claypot laksa is lovely, well balanced with herbs and coconut milk, plus not common to find abalone on laksa! Must try the samba provided separately, v fragrant!

Hidden gem in the city without crowd. Dishes were delicious and well presented. Dining areas are spacious and waitress are attentive. Prices are reasonable with Burpple 1-for-1. Overall very positive dining experience. Strongly recommended.

Ambience - good. Food - not so good. Fried chicken wings is straight out of the frozen pack type of taste. Most of the food arrived luke warm bothering on being cold Service - slow but polite.
