K	KWC 25 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service and ambience. Love the flavoured lobster porridge, delicious shark fin soup, crisp fried oysters and fresh steam fish. Good place for quality teochew cuisine.

The service crew served us with complimentary tea as appetizer & permission tea (chargeable) in a pot. All the dishes are in small portion. The ngoh hiang has well balanced texture, stuffed with chestnut cubes and prawns. Fermented bean chicken is succulent and has a very subtle fermented bean taste. As the name suggest, the oyster omelette is crispy out the outside & gooey in the inside. Amazing & it’s not oily at all. Homemade beancurd has a great texture, fresh and silky. Despite the crowds, the service is prompt (and polite) & the crew would check on our table to ensure the dishes are all served. Ended the meal with another set of complimentary tea to ease the grease.

I have tried something similar in past over at Bedok and that restaurant was quite amazing for under the block kinda restaurant. However, this restaurant was much more expensive and of a higher class. Everything was pretty tasty and yummy until we got to our steamed pomfret. It looked good visually. Unfortunately I can't say much about the flavors. To make things more complicated, the fish was obviously not fresh but frozen. Adding to that, the fish tasted a little too fishy for the family. Turns out the quality for a $11/100gm turned out to be horrible. We rejected this dish in the end. That kinda left a bitter taste on everyone's pallet. They need to work in their fish dishes a little more before serving...

All dishes were great but especially the steamed fish; soup was light but flavorful! Nice ambience and very prompt service. Would definitely come back!

The waitress kept coming to get our plates while there was still food. Felt very rushed. Don’t understand why they just can’t let you eat in peace and enjoy. Except for that, the overall experience was good.

The lift was a bit wonky, need to hold button for it to go up. Service can still be improved as some staff didn't respect personal space and came really close while placing/taking dishes. While refilling tea, the staff brushed my arm with a hot kettle. The restaurant wasn't really crowded on a Sunday night but the staff were like rushing which is weird.

The prawns (in two the diff styles) and CKT is not so salty and really suit my taste. The best is the braised duck which is so smooth and tender. The omelette is only average unfortunately. Nonetheless service is really good making this a great experience.
