168 Curry Chicken - 51 Old Airport Rd

The chicken curry here is an acquired taste. It reminded me of the curry I used to have during 1990s primary school. Not very spicy, quite watery, but very delicious when eaten with steamed rice.

Love the lemak rich curry and the potatoes ! YUMZ!

The curry chicken reminds one of home cooked curry which we used to eat with bread/bee hoon. The chicken was moist but small size.

With only 1 item on the menu, the curry had to be decent for the stall to even survive amidst the competition at the old airport hawker centre. I was presently surprised- I paid $20 for an entire tub of curry chicken, with each $5 being equivalent to 4~5 pieces of chicken and 2 huge chunks of potato. (Think take away curry fish head sized containers). Boss was nice enough return my call within half a minute early in the morning to confirm my order. He filled my container to the brim and even offered to give me extra gravy in a separate bag. Overall the curry was rich and spiced enough without being spicy, albeit being slightly watery. Tldr: 4/5 curry but service pushed it to a 5 :)

Curry not too spicy, just right. Chicken portion not meaty enough too bony. I hope that the future servings can be bigger.

Satisfying curry with 4 x Wings and 2 x Potatoes. Reminds me of Prata curry. Yes it's relatively more watery but still satisfying. ?

I really liked the stall named 168 Curry Chicken ?? First, I had a very well cooked potatoes which is soft and tender, having great curry flavor. ?? Unfortunately, The most important part of curry chicken is the curry based, and this is not that bad, is quite thick flavor,... BUT still lacks of curry essential ingredients taste which should have great smoky and balance curry flavor from spiciness, saltiness and sweetness beside just curry powder one dimension taste. Not a impressive curry soup base. ??? Secondly, the chicken meat what I having is 2 pieces of chopped chicken wings with skin. Obviously it was cooked from frozen chicken. Which immediately giving you an impression of not wanting to have 2nd bite. ??? Overall, portion is not small ?? curry base and chicken meat is so-so ?? potatoes is wonderful ?? Price at $5 is probably too high ??, perhaps $4.50 will be fair to the consumers. Again, sorry to say: I liked the 168 brand but not the foods. ?
