Wowww... I've been here 15 years ago always in love with the Thai Fried Kway Teow & after so long, I've returned & my fav noodle still taste the same! Highly recommended ?????? even my hubby love the taste & ya the Penang Char Kway Teow taste just as good. Only the cold Milo Cino, the taste need to be improved. The service is a thumbs up too despite non-stop crowd, the staffs really won't allow their customers que for long. We were expecting the order won't be served so fast but guess what... It was super fast with that kinda crowd! ??????

This place is popular and the area is very big. So many options to choose from. You can place your order online, service was fast I liked the the taste of buttered chicken. Kebab and fries can be improved I cannot taste the tea in Teh tarik, the milk overpowered it.

Ordered: Roti john with chicken and cheese $8.50, butter chicken masala $11.90. Both are so delicious, i love how the bun is so soft and fluffy. The service is pretty fast. Just need to scan QR to order and pay online and you'll get your food soon. Remember to clear your own plates after finishing. Price is on a little high side, will likely be back for the same food again!

Aloo Gobi (SGD $6.50) @ Al-Azhar Restaurant. . They've achieved some measure of success against their competitors in recent years, largely thanks to the improved quality of food with consistent taste. . Their version of Aloo Gobi has a rich thick curry gravy, with mild vegetal earthy sweet spice flavour, filled with chunky tender cauliflower, potatoes, and red onions, garnished with fresh coriander. . Great with bread or rice. . . . Bhindi Masala (SGD $6.80) @ Al-Azhar Restaurant. . Generous with long slim lady's fingers, tender juicy crunchy texture with vegetal sweet savoury spice flavour. . The thick tomato-based curry gravy is mildly spiced, easy to pick up with bread. Warm and comforting, like a hug. . Portion size is slightly larger than elsewhere, making this good value. . . . Biryani (SGD $9.50) @ Al-Azhar Restaurant. . They serve a good North Indian dum style rendition, where the primary flavour comes from the spice-infused basmati rice. . Slow cooked in a sealed pot for hours, the complex layering of spices, including cardamom and turmeric, infuse the rice, resulting in fragrant sweet grainy spice savoury flavour. . The fish version has boneless chunks of basa fish buried within, flaky and tender with a sharp spicy salty sweet kick from the curry gravy. . The mutton version has bone-in chunks of mutton buried within, chewy and tender with robust meaty savoury salty spice flavour from the curry gravy. . Both served with a bouncy hard boiled egg with eggy sweet notes, and a creamy raita yoghurt with crunchy cucumber and carrots with milky vegetal sweet flavour. Large enough for 2 persons. . . . Butter Chicken (SGD $9.50) @ Al-Azhar Restaurant. . Marinated, roasted, then stewed to finish in the curry, the large pieces of boneless chicken chunks are so tender, with a satisfying light chew and smoky sweet savoury salty spice flavour. . The curry gravy is creamy and smooth, the blend of tomato puree, yoghurt, butter, and spices (including fenugreek seeds and powdered coriander) lending bold vegetal sweet savoury milky spice notes. . Tasty enough to make you reach for more. . . . Chapati (SGD $1.50) @ Al-Azhar Restaurant. . Pretty straightforward rendition, slightly fluffy with a chewy texture that tears nicely with some effort. . Has a grainy bready savoury sweet flavour, slight hint of wheat on the aroma. Nicely warm.

A great place to have supper. For the price, expect $30 for 2 person. I would recommend butter chicken, although the portion is small..

This place is called a restaurant and yet we have to clear our own plates. And when we place the plates at the return area, the staff rudely told us off. And told us to put on the table beside the tray return point. For the amount of money we pay, it is not worth it. And there is no tray for us to bring our plates back. Everything now is automated, loses its usual old charm of attentive staff. And tables are greasy. So many other restaurants down the same road with better service, cleanliness and aircon. Never going back with my family.

Al-Azhar Restaurant, which is more of outdoor dining, with plastic chairs and tables, is located along with Bukit Timah Beauty World. The stall served mainly Halal dishes and consisted of Thai, western, and Indian-Malay dishes. It is a hit-and-miss dining experience for our team lunch. We have rated Al-Azhar Restaurant accordingly in the following categories: Food: 3.5, Service: 3, Value: 3.5, Atmosphere: 3.5. The app when we use it may not display the food ordered at the final receipt. It is a hustle The diner has to find a table. order your meal using the app and walk to the cashier to pay and the staff can prepare the food. Lastly, despite not including the service charge, the food/trays have to be returned. Despite the prices being reasonable, in terms of the dishes, the food is not flavourful and delicious. It lacks hardy herbs to the dishes early in the cooking process. Lack of customer service to introduce their top-rated dishes. Truly, a dining place to be forgotten.

Came on a Thursday night. Place was packed and crowded. To be honest, after this place expanded, the price has gotten ridiculous while the food's quality went down. Ordered ice Milo, cheese prata and butter masala paneer. Waited about 30mins+ for our food to arrive. Priced at $2.70, you could tell that the didn't use much Milo powder but added more sugar/condensed milk. It was so sweet but didn't have as much Milo flavour as one would like. I ordered the normal cheese prata instead of the mozzarella cheese prata as it cost a whopping $4/5+ per piece. The normal cheese prata cost $2.70. While the cheese prata was decent, I would rather go to RK house @ serangoon gardens as they serve mozzarella cheese prata for $2.60 instead of the ridiculous price of $4/5+. The butter masala paneer was decent but definitely not worth the $10 price tag as it has less than 10 pieces of paneer so each piece is more than a dollar. Overall, would not return again. But the food is decent.
