β β β β β They have unique types of bread. Bread is alright, nothing especially bad, nothing especially good.

β β β β β One of my favourite pandan chiffons in singapore. Pandan smell is very prominent and the cakes are really moist and soft. $7 for a box is very affordable too.

β β β β β Founded in Japan, Asanoya Bakery is a artisan bakery that is well known for their bread and pastries. This outlet is located at the basement of Paragon. The range of breads might be limited as compared to the other outlet due to the space constraints. And even though the bread can be pricey, it is worth the price!

β β β β β I buy plain white bread from here. Very fresh and tastes much better than supermarket bread or factory produced. Tried their Sando once as well and was pretty decent.

β β β β β Passed by while in town. Been wanting to visit the main branch to get some pastries for a sit down meal but had to make do with take away from a small counter. Been ages since last ate Asanoya since the salted egg craze now back to try the matcha and kaya items. Only managed to order a few items and found a place to sit within Paragon to try out the pastries. The matcha cube was so awesome as a fan of matcha haven't really tried many places which I recall have such thick matcha (in terms of viscosity and taste. The kaya mochi cruffin in terms of taste would be so normal but the mochi really added some joy while eating it. And of course the Amann is always the item to order when I visit here.

β β β β β Here is what I got...
Matcha donut: Donut taste exactly like those that you get from your neighborhood bakery except that it has matcha filing. The matcha was sweet and flow-y.
Kaya donut: Old school donut taste with a coconut-y Kaya taste.
Kouign Amamn: Flaky with caramelized sweet yet salty goodness. Highly recommended.
Cheese pretzel: The most disappointing out of the lot. The texture is like cake(?) And the cheese taste like cheese and paprika(?)
Bread pudding: Had it chilled. Nice custard pudding with some chocolate hidden inside as well. Would recommend this over the donuts unless you love old school donuts.

β β β β β Bought some cheese tarts after hearing much rave reviews! Tarts looks complete and good during purchase. When we remove from the tart casing, we were disappointed to see all the tarts were indented and it was uniform ie. Less cheese filling was used.
We love the taste of your cheese tarts We as customers don't mind paying for quantity and quality. Hope you will look into this.

β β β β β Wanted a fun snack and got tempted by their colourful sugared rusks of the day. A packet contains 5 rusks of different flavours, love the raisins and dried orange ones. Some of the rusks werenβt crispy and tasted quite doughy but still a very nice snack. The matcha one has a nice green tea fragrance.
