★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Four stars for the hardworking and friendly staff. They were very quick and alert. I think Paul is just not as good "as it looks". I've been to Paul in Vietnam too and the quality is not very high. The chocolate tart was a bit hard and just average at best. The chamomile tea was a single use bag with plain boiled water on the side. The apple and celery juice was not bad but very little celery flavour compared to apple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would always visit Paul bakery for breakfast if I am nearby Orchard Paragon. The croissant is crisp and flaky on the outside and buttery soft on the inside. Goes very well with their blend if coffee or tea. They also serve french style breakfast as well as pastries which are equally good.
Only issue is you need to come early or be prepared for a pretty long wait for seats especially nearing 10am. Staff seems shorthanded and overwhelmed as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not our usual breakfast taste, could be french style. Scramble egg looks moist but was drier when eaten. No egg taste. Wonder if it's a French thing or organic or those packets of yolk only. Bread was like our neighborhood white bread. Overall the breakfast was not what I expected or maybe I expected too much. Coffee was alright. The bakes looks fantastic but I was too full from the breakfast so I can't comment on that. I ordered a latte and a big breakfast and it cost me $32 plus plus.
Will not go back down their savoury breakfast but would go back for dessert or tea time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food, pastries and drinks are all good. I enjoyed the Prawn and scallop Pasta. It really suits my taste buds. Staff are also friendly and always carry a smile. Especially Alex and Rea. Will definitely come back and tried their other menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We happened upon the cafe while shopping. My sister and I were tired, needed a sit down, coffee and some snacks. It was about 5pm and as we tried to catch the attention of the service staff (as the place was almost full) two of the female staff were unnecessarily curt and rude telling us to wait in the corner. We were too tired to go anywhere else so we just stood there. Fortunately a male staff came and very pleasantly sat us down and took our orders.
The order came after about 10 minutes. For a crowded place were were pleasantly surprised. The food and coffee were quite nice.
The low rating is because a bad start could have prevented us from enjoying a good meal and resulted in a really bad review. Many potential customers would have just gone away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my first time to dine-in in this restaurant, and thought, it was a best decision i made that night, while looking for some place to eat at that time. Im not being biased here, but i just want to commend the 2 staff who assisted us and served us with everything we need, with a smile on their faces. (Kudos to Alex and Maya). Though it was a little busy time, but they never failed to assist us whenever they can. The King Prawn and scallop pasta is to die for. The prawn is so tender that you feel like wanting more. Their chocolate croissant was really good. Though im a fan of croissants, this one they have really perfectly matched any coffee you’ll have. All in all, it is a great place, great ambiance, great food and great people. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the queue usually is the biggest problem, the place seem to be constantly understaffed; besides that there never seems to be any long-term waiters. There are always new people, even on a weekly basis! Having said this, the service was not superb but not horrible.
Having said that - I thought the food was pretty decent. The mint lemonade was refreshing and I always like to order either the croque madamme or monsieur. The salad sides and the thickness of the meat inside the sandwich is good. The pastries are always good and I always have to resist on ordering more pastries (there is a discount if they are about to close and there are pastries left).
Will come back here again if I am in the area.
