change from 1 star to 5 star cause change of staff and the service is good and food is still excellent.

Though food is good but service of crew is really horrid. Went with my 2 kids during HA and we had to takeaway. Initially both crew members did not walk towards me to ask or introduce anything. Then when i tried to order, 1 of the crew was already giving me the unhappy attitude that he got to ask me what i want, then i had to repeat my order 3 times and eventually shouted my order. We waited for the food and eventually after quite a while, we realised the food was already on the counter top and nobody alerted us that it was ready. BAD ATTITUDE and SERVICE. Becos of this, i had to BAN this store from my to eat list :(.

Garlic fix chicken chop was amazing! The sautéed mushrooms were so flavourful and juicy! Price is very reasonable and portion is substantial. I will pick them over Aston anytime.

Ordered: • Signature Char Grill Chicken Chop • Black Pepper Chicken Chop • Breaded Seafood Combo The char on both the chicken chops was perfect! Both cuts of meat were fresh and did not have that “frozen” taste you’d typically get with many other western stalls. The taste in fact is reminiscent of the chicken chops I’ve tasted in Sizzler restaurants overseas. The fry on the seafood combo was on point - all the proteins in this dish were tasty and not drowning in oil. For the sides, we had sautéed mushrooms which were chunkily cut and juicy - not dry and small. We also had potato wedges which were generously peppered and flavourful. All in all, the portion sizes across the board are substantial and hence for the price, very value-for-money. Happy that this stall set up shop in our estate and will definitely come back for more!

Third review 17 June 2022: The chef catered to our taste buds by grilling the dory fish (instead of the breaded version) when we ordered the seafood platter which comes with breaded prawns, calamari rings & 2 sides. He also offered us 2 types of sauces for dipping our food, namely tar tar sauce and brown sauce as we disappeared for quite awhile to get drinks while our food was being prepared. (I prefer the brown sauce) Wow it was another happy meal for me as I tucked into the food! The portion of dory fish was surprising generous as it was thick and fresh unlike the ones we tried before at other stalls. The meat was juicy & there wasn't a hint of fishy scent to it. What delighted me was the cheese pasta as it was surprisingly light & not salty. And I could see the cheesy sauce stretching upwards when I lifted up the pasta with the fork! For a health conscious freak like myself, this is one of my cheat days where I get to eat such food and I relish every morsel of it since it tasted so good! This seafood platter is a definite must-try at Backyard Griller (tampines north). Highly recommended! Second review 12 June 2022: The counter staff was really observant & attentive! When she saw me coming over to order, she highlighted to me that I wanted to have my spaghetti prepared in the aglio olio sauce instead of their default tomato sauce. That was certainly a very good reminder for elderly folks like myself! I settled for the grilled salmon with the spaghetti. And it tasted really good! The aglio olio spaghetti was fried in a very garlicky fragrant manner with herbs. It was definitely to our liking. Highly recommended to eat again from their stall - they have quite an appetising variety of grilles and deep fried foods so we can never run out of what to order for meals! Thumbs up! First review 3rd June 2022: Love love love the food! This is my first time eating from Backyard Griller and indeed, the food tasted as good as it sounds! Absolutely promising western food cuisine tucked away so quietly in Tampines North. This is a definite must-try for those who love grilled food. The salmon was chunky and thick and it was one of the most succulent, juiciest tasting salmon meat I have ever eaten! It was surprising very light & appetising & not oily at all! Yummy... The staff manning the stall were very polite, friendly and helpful in introducing how I could pair up side dishes with the salmon in dill cream that I ordered. For the health conscious but with occasional cravings for grilled meats, this is a definite yes to patronise in our list of to go to when we want western cuisine. The food is also very presented in panache which is why we call it "western cuisine" for Backyard Griller's food. Highly recommended to anyone who loved western food! :D
