Interesting semi-open concept for a fusion dim sum restaurant. We picked the recommended items and they were interesting and tasty . However, some unexpected observations fr the perspective of a second visit are: 1) the fried you tiao wrapped in rice roll had a stale oil taste, 2) signature items like the yuzu bun were not available at a 7pm dinner, and 3) porridge can be a bit bland to some (though i had no issues w it).

Managed to get a seat without reservations on a Saturday afternoon, which was lucky enough. I liked the rice noodle roll although the β€˜cheong fun’ itself could be smoother. I think the filling inside and the sauce made up for it. As for their signature white pepper prawns, it was significantly smaller than the previous time and too salty for my taste. A tad overcooked too :( The bread was good though, crispy and paired nicely with the sauce. The porridge was the worst of the three. It was bland and the texture too watery. Not good. Not good at all. I, however, have to commend the servers for their service. Really friendly and quick to attend to our requests. Kudos to that!

Very busy Sunday but yet the food quality is extremely fine and the waiting time didn’t take long. Unique and creative dimsum food options, kudos to the chef creation. Love to come back for more!

1st visit to Black Society by chance as my daughter spotted Ee Fu Noodle on the menu (one of her fav dish) Wowed by the interior decor and ambience of the restaurant. Quite "IG-able". There is a serving staff who will volunteer to take pictures if you need her assistance. Recommended to order the Dim Sum/pastry cage..when served and yes...IG-able. Basically it's sampling set. Taste was quite nice Ee Fu noodle was satisfactory. Then ordered the promo 3-pc cake set. Can only say looks nice and IG-able. Overall, for kakis who enjoyed ambience and IG-able food will like Black Society...hence the 4-star rating. For foodies who aim for food taste, it's quite nice but did not meet my expectation vs the price. Hence minus 1 star.

At the price point of $7.50 for 3 har gow (aka shrimp dumpling ) I would expect a porcelain spoon and not a plastic one . The dinosaur roll was chunky turnip pieces dipped in batter and fried , there after wrapped in Cheong fun skin . The Cheong fun skin could barely wrap around the fried roll . Execution fail . The chicken with spicy Sichuan sauce was quite a let down, chicken not chilled sufficiently , sauce lack the depth , spiciness and vinaigrette taste. Saving grace the carrot cake fried with XO sauce , a bit too wet but still tasty .

Kids Friendly menu. Tried the crispy chicken rice, very well fried. Not oily and juicy inside. Fresh prawn n scallop porridge is tasty too. Fresh prawns tasted sweet. Love the porridge not salty at all. Great service from the team.

Located at level 1 of Great World City Mall. A modern Chinese dim sum restaurant. Service was fast and attentive. Quite a variety of food, porridge and noodles as well. Order the Chinois Bento set and some of the β€œthumbs up” dim sum. Food was served quite promptly. The quality of the food was good! The carrot cake was done very different from others. The carrot cake was crispy, never had I tried crispy carrot cake before. And it was great! The pumpkin sesame ball was fantastic. It looked very huge, but it was just a thin layer of flour which tasted wonderful. I loved the pumpkin sesame ball- it was now one of my favourite, a sure to order dish when I am to visit the next time. Price was a bit on the high side. Other than that, no complaints. Strongly recommended.

Service: 4/5 Brought my mum for lunch on a public holiday and they were super packed at 1.30pm. They kindly offered mum a chair. Got table at 2pm when crowd lessen. Table service was still hurried though despite less people. Food: 4/5 Overall, Dim sum was really nice! Ingredients were fresh. Mum liked it a lot. Stuffed eggplant and fried yam kueh, not that nice though, as it was a little over fried. However, overall it was a delicious meal
