Bowen's Western - 415 Pandan Gardens

Located among the shophouses, parking was ok. Small shop with limited seatings, hence, need to wait for seats. Tried the lobster which was not on the menu, $48 with salad and chips. Lobster was fresh, chips had parmesan cheese with tint of truffle. Mushroom soup was ok but the bread brings it up, well toast and soft. Spaghetti was bad, felt its was too “al dente”. The staff mentioned you have to tell them to get cooked spaghetti, it was my first time so i didn’t know. Anyway had to left it unfinished as i Didn’t like its matching ingredients pumpkin/vege mix also. Would recommend to try other dishes beside their pasta.

Nice Western food and price is reasonable. Tried their port chop, chicken chop and spaghetti. All above par. Place can be quite limited but parking is not a problem over there. It is under one of the HDB block but not too difficult to find if you follow Google Map. Overall it is the place I will go if I crave for western food.

Boy this dish of ????????? ??? ???? ???? is sooo impressive! Well-marinated and perfectly grilled ribs which are fall-off-the-bone tender! ? Doesn’t have the “frozen pork” taste that I dislike. ?? Overselling at Bowen - beware of being fleeced We came to support this neighbourhood establishment after a good dining experience previously. When at the counter, they recommended some new dishes and add-ons like sausages, Soup and juices. My hubby and I decided to go with their recommendations to go for the crab pasta instead of their signature prawn spaghetti, added a sausage to the chicken chop, share 1 soup and 1 juice. We paid for it and surprised the bill came up to $47.50. The crab pasta was $22, almost double that of the prawn spaghetti, and instead of 1 juice, they keyed in 2 juices. When the pasta came, I was shock how little crab meat there was and there were  prawns. Had I ordered the prawn  spaghetti? I went to double check on my order and they claimed this was the crab pasta and that is real crab (so that's why very little??). Anyway, I can tell business is bad but I would pretty much hope they stay honest and less desperate. Would have loved to come back for the regular stuff, but I guess for now, I am scarred. Better to stick to items on the menu to avoid unwarranted surprises and double check on orders in future.

I came across with this restaurant shares the same name with me, so no reason I don't give a 5 star. Other than the shared name, food quality is indeed good at reasonable price. Environment is also good, in a cosy neighborhood community.

They appear to have two stalls. One of the stalls does not have air conditioning and sells Hainan curry rice at 10 a.m. daily, as well as herbal soup. It was not at its peak during our visit, which took place on a weekday evening about 6 p.m. There was a Chinese lady who tried to upsell us on every single dish we purchased. It's a little unsettling for us. This ruined the shop's first impression. ???? ??????? went wrong When we ask for a chicken chop, she upsells us to have both the ???? ???? ??? ??? ??????? ????. She upsells the ????? ?????? ????? ?????? when we ordering fish and chips. She upsells ?????'? ??????? beef cheeks when we request angus prime ribeye. She upsells ????????? ?????? ??? ????? ?????? when we order canned drinks. Maybe the business owner should teach the employees not to be so pushy. It's fine to push once or twice, but not for all of the things we ordered? ????? ???????? ???? & ???? ?????? ????? ??? ?⁣ ??? ??? ???????? ???? ???? ???? ???? ??? ????????? ?? ???? ??? ??? ?.?? ⁣ The soup was at the perfect temperature, and the garlic bread was perfectly toasted. Delicious mushroom soup. ⁣ ⁣ ???? ???? ??? ??????? ???? ??? ??.??⁣ The chicken chop was soft and tender, and the meat was perfectly seasoned. However, we found the pork chops to be a little difficult to chew. The sauce on the side did not help to elevate the dish.⁣ ⁣ ??????? ???? & ????? ??? ?.??⁣ It’s a decent F&C. The steakhouse chips were not crispy at all. I'd prefer it to deep fried for a little longer.⁣ ⁣ Foie gras is perfect score ??

Pork chop at $10.90 nett, thought it was a rather good deal at these times of inflation and shrinkflation. Food was nice too. The fries was crisp and the mushroom sauce not too salty. Love the salad! Please keep the price affordable.
