Had the mee pok ($4) and it was really good - noodles were springy and the sauce was just nice, not too dry or too wet and the flavours complemented the noodles well. According to the auntie, $3 one only has fish balls, no meat balls. But I found that the fish balls were just as good as the meat balls, imho. Definitely returning for more!

Make your order first and wait around. Then, when your table is ready, the staff will arrange a seat for you to be seated. One of the best mee pok I have eaten! Noods were very jumpy and al dente. Fishballs are handmade and tasty! Though I felt the food was rather saltish.

Food is relatively good if you’re in the area. Won’t say it’s one of those dish where you will travel across the island for. But it’s one of those if you’re around the area then it’s pretty recommended. But giving 1* rating for queuing time is long and because you’re unable to wait is just ridiculous. Most likely you saw the hype on some social media platform and decided to head down with the rest of the island and complain it’s too slow. That’s just plain self entitled and trying to tarnish the effort by the hawker.

I appreciate that the fishballs were made by hand with 100% yellowtail fish meat, but it was an underwhelming meal for me. I went after watching a video featuring this stall, but I was slightly disappointed. The star of the fish was definitely the fishballs, but even then they were slightly fishy and lacked some bite and bounce. The noodles were not great, because they were weren’t chewy and springy. Perhaps a different sauce combination pairing with the noodles is needed? (Ps. Be careful of the Long wait. I wait 45 minutes on a Monday morning).

Easily Top 5 fish ball Noodle in Singapore. The dry mee pok alone is good enough to eat on it own. The soup is so good you wish they give more. I wish they have more branches around the world, this is just so good I believe I can have this weekly.

Simple yet amazing taste and QQ bites. Noodles are well cooked / QQ and the (hand-made) ingredients are just a notch above the standard fare you get elsewhere. The boss Ah Hua is a jaunty and affable chap despite his age; the other members too. W that being said, it also means that he’s pretty chill and wouldn’t rush each bowl / customer - which translates to either a good bowl or an infuriating wait (depending on how you look at it).

Simple yet tasteful. Don’t let the plain looking meal trick you. The handmade ingredients has a nice texture to it, simple yet flavourful. Was skeptical initially on the meal as everything looks simple, despite that, the flavour is definitely there. Along with the cold weather, great combination.

Good fish balls noodles. Nice texture with fish balls & meat balls. Both are hand made, probably the β€œkiao” as well. Noodles are cooked just right. Waiting time a bit too long. $5 for the hand made? I think it is worth it.
