★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food at economy price. But lack of parking space and all the stalls closed at 9pm since the Covid hit town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old establishment in the East Coast, this small bite sized coffee shop has survived against much larger competition for years offering excellent food at competitive prices.
The main attractions are the Carrot Cake, porridge and mee Pok stalls.
Be prepared for long queues especially on weekends. Parking is ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came to this coffee shop specially to try the Beef Wellington at the Meet 4 Meat. However, I also discovered that the minced pork noodle and char Kway Teow here is also famous.. Definitely will come back to try their dishes. Come in the evening when the weather is not that hot.. I came in noon time and the sun was beating down on the coffee with the sunshade cover extended still inside the coffee shop is still very stuffy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m posting about the western food stall in this corner coffee shop. It’s called Meet4Meat. Excellent food even by restaurant standard!! Must try the Beef Wellington and Lamb Cutlets. You won’t regret it. Bon appetite!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I think of mee poh dry, it must be really ‘dry and fragrance’ with lard oil coated on the noodle and not those wet one.
At this ‘Katong (Jago) Teochew Mee Poh Kway Teow Mee’ stall, I asked for a $5 with extra ingredients ($1 or $2 more) but ended up serving me the small one ($5) only. Well, it was still not very dry but anyway the umami soup was tasty. The chilli sauce mixture was a tad salty today but acceptable. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Katong (Jags) Teochew Mee Pok
It’s been quite sometime since I last patronised this coffee shop. Definitely before it became this existing configuration. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed my $4 bowl of mee-pok. I requested for no fishball. It’s simple but had good old mee-pok umami taste. ?

Chef uses lard and dish is topped with Chinese sausage and bean sprouts.
Has the goodness of wok hei In every mouthful!
Worth the calorie!
