A nice place to chill with wide range of craft beers and Asian bar bites. Had a Hakka Platter with fried taupok with meat stuffings, dried oyster pork, shiitake mushroom with pork and meatballs. Lunch menu serve 4 type of rice bowls such as chicken teriyaki, yakiniku beef, pork cutlet and yuzu salmon. Price is reasonable and food is nice. No gst and service charge. Highly recommended!

$9 pork cutlet with Japanese curry. At first I thought the amount of curry seemed modest, but turned out to be balanced enough. The pork cutlet was perfectly done and I liked that it had cooled down and was easy to woof down with the piping hot curry. Ample seating space at 12.30 on a weekday

I'm a fan of Aperia Mall but never knew about Carbon& until I saw their advert poster outside the building (was walking from the bus stop) It's right at the back of the building, you'll literally need to exit the glass door & you'll see it Decided to drop by on a Wednesday evening & shared the Hakka Platter with a friend - it's really really really good (apparently the owners are Hakka)! Nice range of craft beers which you can ask to try if you're not sure what to get. No GST or Service charge + Rice Don bowls at like $6-8???? I must go back soon to try their Don / Ramen & eat more Hakka sides. Just need a bigger belly... Thanks Maggie & Iris for the lovely time, I'll be back soon! *Oh do note that craft beers cos a bit more than normal commercial beer la.

Updated review in Mar 2021: - Rice bowls are nice but ratio of toppings to rice ainโ€™t great. Portion is filled with rice. - Eggshell found in one bowl, happens. - Meatballs overcooked, dry and burnt. Chili sauce is amazing though! Consistently is lacking unfortunately and maybe they should concentrate on the bowls instead of offering too many side dishes? โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” First review pre-Covid: Good quality rice bowls. Something about the rice and how well it marries with the beef or salmon or chicken or cutlet! Great taste and comforting! Portions could be a bit bigger! IG @iambruisedlee

Place is decent. Yakiniku beef bowl was below expectation as it was too salty and not tasteless. Hygiene standards not there as lady did not tie up her hair and it was all over the place. Did not try the beer but my friends said it was good.

Delicious Hakka stuffed taupok, meatballs & bittergourds served with a piquant chili sauce that complemented the tasty crispy treats. Love this & will be back to try the full Hakka platter with oyster mushrooms balls! Their range of craft beer is not to be sniffed at- I tried a fruity refreshing one with passion fruit & had a taste of another dark craft beer from Japan that had hints of coffee. Friendly service from the lady owner! Very worth a trip down to Aperia mall.
