SURGICAL DISASTER. AVOID DR. BENG HAI LIM. Here is why: I broke my hand in July and hired Dr Lim Beng Hai to fix it. After the surgery he performed, my hand didn't close properly and my 4th finger looked twisted (see first picture). Dr Lim Beng Hai re-operated on my hand a week later to fix the problem, and absorbed the cost of his fee for the second surgery while I paid for everything else. Unfortunately, the second surgery was also unsuccessful :-/ This time, the plate used to fix the broken bone didn't stay in place (see second picture) and after a month it was clear that I would need yet another surgery to fix the fracture. It is hard to tell if the first complication led to the second complication but at that stage, I decided to hire another hand surgeon. After two unsuccessful surgeries and many screws of all sizes, my bone was now in such a bad state that the second surgeon had to do a bone graft from my elbow to my hand :-/ Despite this being a much challenging job to do, the second surgeon has been successful so far. Believing that anger would not solve anything, I chose to remain civil at all times with Dr Lim Beng Hai and invited him to reciprocate by suggesting that the gentleman thing to do would be for him to absorb the full cost of the third surgery. He has refused to do so claiming that he "met the requisite standard of care". I am not qualified to judge on what is the right standard of care, wether it was met, wether the first complication led to the second one nor on Dr Lim Beng Hai's professionalism or ability. I can only share my experience and based on that, strongly recommend to pick another hand surgeon if you wish to avoid the kind of complications or disappointments that I went through. I wish him much success and a speedy recovery to all.

Had a fall off my bike due to a freak accident and since then have been experiencing occasional sharp pain on my left wrist for a couple of months. What's challenging was not only the pain coming through occasionally, there was no visible swelling nor was I able to point out the source of the pain . Been to 2 doctors and can only described my general situation to them but it was only after I meet Dr Lim and within 5 mins after I describe my situation to him, he was able to locate the source of the pain to be due to TFCC and explained the situation to me in details. His knowledge, coupled with his calming and confident demeanor provided me the confidence to proceed with my first ever surgery. Have fully recovered now, all thanks to Dr Lim and his team of friendly staffs.

i have a cyst on my back as well as ganglion cyst on my wrist. Both growing gradually. Saw Dr Lim Beng Hai on recommendation. Dr and staff very experienced. He advised me if they did not bother me at all, don't need an operation. I only paid for the consultation.

Had consulted Dr Lim Beng Hai years before after hearing of him who reconstructed a badly injured hand of an acquaintance. In November 2020 was referred to him again by my spine orthopaedic Prof Hee Hwan Tak. Dr Lim immediately identified the cyst and the source is another cyst on the joint. I was surprised there were two cysts. Surgery was arranged and scheduled soonest. Dr Lim has a compassionate understanding and with very gentle hands when treating the wound ensuring little pain. In the operating theatre, he checked I understood what is to be done and after discovering another point of pain for injection, held to the point which relaxes my tension and kept me comfortable till I dozed off. He also had a comfortable splint readily made which held the thumb in place and kept the pain at bay. God bless him with good successes in all his delicate CHARMS.

Seriously, avoid surgery here at all costs. So much regret ever going here, even had a second opinion before undergoing final (remedial) procedure telling me to take an alternative pathway, which I considered .... but regrettably ignored, duped into believing the CHARMing surgeon. Go to an alternative (less CHARMing and egotistical) consultant, very likely to be more sincere and (arguably) talented.
