Fresh fish belly and the soya garlic sauce is so nice. Ordered old cucumber pork rib double boiled soup, oyster sauce vege and salted fish meatcake, all are above average. around 30+ for all these

Old school Cantonese steam and serve dishes. Many classic and new surprise . Steam prawn with chee cheong fan is ingenius. The chee cheong fan soak up all the juice of the fresh prawns giving it a new favour to it . Steam fish and chicken is faultless . Vegetable is only ok. Soup is masterful too. Good food. Slightly long wait and limited seating at peak hours.

Simple Cantonese dishes which warms the heart. The soups are good but was all sold out when I went at 130pm. Love the fish head (chopped up pieces) cooked in bean sauce, steamed meat pattie and baby kai lan. Best with a bowl of white rice!

Superb Cantonese cooking! All the steamed fish dishes are very well done with the texture velvety (smooth/slippery in Cantonese). Go for the tail or belly for less bone. Steamed chicken and salt fish minced pork are also delicious. Garlic vegetable is fresh and crunchy. Altogether a very satisfying meal. Salute to the CHEF!

We were there at 11:30am and was 4th in queue. Despite that, it took 15 mins or more before we get to place our order and waited another 45 mins for the food. And it is super challenging to get a table. I have heard so much about this place and I left after looking at the long queue on my previous trip. But this shall also be my last queue. If you look at the menu, all the dishes need to be steamed and finished off by a ladle or hot oil and lots of spring onion. We ordered the chicken with black fungus, fish with garlic and prawn with chee Cheong fun. Generally, the 3 dishes were alright but was it so good that I will queue for an hour, probably not. If is a 15 minutes wait, I’ll have it as a healthy lunch with all the steamed fish and soup. It is a little overpriced for the standard of the food.

Garlic Chee Cheong Fun with Prawn and Black Fungus Steamed Chicken. Cantonese cuisine dishes in a hawker centre that has a long queue! I waited almost an hour for this during lunch time and the soup were sold out by then. Luckily my objective was really the Garlic Chee Cheong Fun with Prawn! Costly at $30 but really fresh prawns and superb sauce.

Had two meals there in two weeks and both times were a great experience with Chef Chiks amazing menu lf steamed Cantonese style dishes! The soups are great but the meat patty and threadfin belly are definitely highlights. With the local weather I'd definitely recommend eating early at 11ish to beat the crowd at Haig Rd Market. Take note of the shorter opening hours though! It's alot of intense work for a team of 2 in such a small space so alittle wait should be understandable and besides, it's going to be worth it.

I really think this stall has the best Cantonese steam food on the island!! I’m no fish eater but I emptied the steam threadfin belly plate with ease and it was sooooooo gooooood!! The prawn dish has chee Cheong fun underneath it and it was a surprise add! The garlic and slight spice adds a kick to the entire concoction. The white fungus chicken soup is nothing like I’ve tasted before too.
