β β β β β TL;DR: Don't service here or at choong kok agency outlet. You'll get ripped off financially and emotionally. It's not worth it. Incompetent mechanic.
Be forewarned.
I have been servicing my motorcycle with this outlet for 2 years. Occasionally been to other outlets for oil and spark plug replacement.
This place is not honest. They'll tell you that the price is fixed but when you checked out. The lady cashier will manually override the price in the registry. GST is a sperate cost be it cash or card.
They do not follow standard protocol for my motorcycle (Scomadi TL200). At a certain milage they are supposed to carry out "X" points checks, but they did not.
Mechanic either cannot give you honest advice or simply incompetent. As customer, the most you would like to return is when your servicing is due. However I've been returning for defects after defects. Mean time between defects is 4 months.
Rider's advise to them was to change as many components to aid in preventive measure was largely ignored.
Also for a simple mistake on their part due to unable to spot wear and tear components on my bike during a routine servicing. My rear mud fender came off mid journey and rubbed against my rear tire resulting in significant wear. While the rear mud fender was 1/4 rubbed off by the rear tire. I was charged $20 for labour and a consolation price of a used rear mud fender(the mechanic claimed FOC.)
Update: manage to find out my previous servicing invoice. In Sep 18, I was charged $22 for oil change. In Mar 19, I was charged $25 for the same oil change.
Update Nov 19: replaced a fork with them and to found out from a third party that during the installation that they somehow damaged the turning collar. Bike was brought in for another defect. Engine check light came on only during mid journey all other temperature normal. Mechanic wasn't able to correctly diagnosed. First we changed spark plugs, oil filter and engine oil. Second occurrence, the mechanic re-flash the bike's computer.
Ended up seeking a second opinion from a reputable workshop. I was told "without the proper diagnosis computer nothing can be done. The sole distributor with the right tools but was unable to repair speaks volumes about their competency."

β β β β β Overpriced. Was charged $181 for:
1. Change a tire (previously installed for $99)
2. for a exhaust gasket change
3. an oil change (Brought my own engine oil)
Be warned...
